The Mk.V version of the NDC's Dragoon APV.

The armoured ”Dragoon” All-Protected Vehicle (APV) is a joint venture between German Krauss-Maffei Wegman (KMV) and Swedish Hägglunds, intended specifically for the NDC forces. The Dragoon is designed as a patrol and reconnaissance vehicle, built to withstand land mines, rifle fire, artillery fragments and NBC-threats.

A brand-new military-grade MRAP behind the Florida Highway Patrol Troop D Headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The FHP provides the primary SWAT team in the state of Florida, able to serve warrants and other issues anywhere throughout the entire state. The SWAT team is comprised of the FHP with members of surrounding local and state agencies such as the FWC. The MRAP, a $500,000 vehicle in value, was aquired through a military surplus program for under $2,000.

Hello again everyone.

This year has been both a difficult and busy one for me so I haven't had as much of an opportunity to get photos of my builds. I have also made, it seems, 2019 to be a year of primarily building vehicles of the United States Armed Forces (USAF).

Over the next week I hope to get some better photos of each vehicle so that I may upload them for all to enjoy, but don't quote me on that time period.

In this photo you will see my 2019 USAF builds of:

AH-64 Apache

UH-1Y Venom

AH-1Z Viper

CH-53K King Stallion

Lockheed U2

A-10 Thunderbolt II

MQ-9 Reaper

LCAC

Mk.2 PBR

4x Cougar HE 6x6 (1 IED stricken)

M777 Howitzer

M198 Howitzer

This Dragoon VI FCV, or Forward Command Vehicle, is part of the current detachment of NDC forces stationed in Al-Dabir. The FCV version of the Dragoon is based on the standard hard top version with an enclosed rear section, though this vehicle is loaded with various battlefield command- and communications equipment.

The M-ATV Assault is an up-gunned and up-armored version of Oshkosh Defense’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All Terrain Vehicle, and is designed to turn a relatively agile four-wheeled utility vehicle into a fast-moving direct fire weapons platform.

Another joint upload with Matt. And huge props to Magnus for letting us borrow his larger MLS dio for a few minutes!

Despite its size and weight, powerful four-wheel drive and Oshkosh's premier Tak-4 suspension/steering system allow the vehicle to maintain much better mobility than most similar-sized vehicles.

If you've got a Buffalo you should make sure it's tied down correctly!

The Buffalo is a wheeled mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) armored military vehicle built by Force Protection, Inc., a division of General Dynamics. It is the largest vehicle in Force Protection's line-up, followed by the Cougar MRAP and the Ocelot light protected patrol vehicle (LPPV). Thank you WIkipedia:

As well as having planes at the Pima Air and Space Museum they have a couple of military vehicles as well. How would you like to see this in your rear view mirror you on your morning commute?

If you should find yourself in Tucson, AZ and would like to visit this museum there's something you should know if you're a veteran. This museum is a PRIVATE museum, in no way connected with the DOD or the US Government. What this means is that they DO NOT give any sort of discount to currently serving military folks and/or veterans. Just be aware.

While originally developed to fight in ‘low intensity’ conflicts characterized by IEDs, the M-ATV's defensive package also provides effective protection for modern conventional fights, with the armored cabin capable of withstanding most small arms fire. The continuing development of active protection systems also provide some security against larger ordinance, such as an RPG or smaller ATGM.

That was meant to become my take on Corvin Stichert's MRAP chassis, so all the credits for the suspension and the lower part of the vehicle go to him, but I've changed a few core details. I'm really proud of this sleek bottom and fitting six minifigs under this openable roof. The only thing I'm not happy is an ugly gap right before the motor hood. No idea how to fix this without ruining the shape of this front...

Had a rough day yesterday, sorry for the late replies, credits and stuff.

Marine Rotational Force-Darwin is a United States Marine Corps Marine Air-Ground Task Force based at Matilda Lines at Robertson Barracks and at RAAF Base Darwin.

On 16 November 2011, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and President Barack Obama announced that starting in 2012 US Marines would deploy to Darwin on a rotational basis for about six months to conduct exercises and train with the Australian Defence Force in the Northern Territory. The first rotation of about 200 US Marines deployed to Australia in April 2012. On 14 June 2013, the Prime Minister announced that in 2014 the size of the deployment would increase to 1150 US Marines to be based at Robertson Barracks. Since then, that number has increased to 2,500. During the six-month deployment, Marines train with their Australian counterparts in live fire exercises which builds comradery and combat effectiveness between the two coalition forces. Both forces train the other in their military methods which include artillery fire, Infantry tactics, communications equipment, and other various military trainings.

this design was strongly inspired by Aleksander Stein's dragoon APV

Recently I had a chance to setup an improvised light-box for photos of some of my recent builds. Over the next week I will be uploading photos of some of the more "smaller" military builds that I have made during the later portion of this year. Enjoy the first of the series of models, the Cougar HE 6x6, spotted in my USAF photos, that I have 4 built.

*Not all models were able to fit inside it, and the lighting wasn't the best, nor the camera quality.

schöner Doppeldecker

I've been trying to build a Mastiff 3 PPV for a while, but after having built the suspension, I thought it would be a good idea to build one without all the appliqué armour. Fortunately, this is what the Americans call the Cougar HE, so that's what I got out of it!

The Cougar is a huge MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) designed to keep its occupants alive even in the most explosive of situations. Its V-shaped hull and heavy armour help it to do this while its height keeps troops far from the ground.

As for the model, it has fully independent rear suspension, semi-independent suspension and steering at the front, open turret, 4 opening doors and roof hatches.

This ambulance is the one that can protect itself: it's equipped with powerful sonic weapon and is provided with some pretty thick armor plates. Has a crew of eight and a place for one stretcher for injured soldiers. Has lots of stuff to open and play with, see for yourself.

Just another MRAP-like thing of mine. Yes, it's for my Chinese faction. And yes, those colors are absolutely impossible IRL. I really hope that that chinese spelling Google Translate gave me is the right one and not some explicit word ^_^

Comments appreciated!

Ok, it turned out this view is all worth showing here. It has a pretty crippled interiors and those doors could never be opened in LDD :( I was going to make it a variation of Corvin Stichert's JMTV, but it didn't go well... This thing can still be dismounted into three or four parts... Now I'm a bit confused with how it was going to be initially...

Anyway, here's some statisics for you: 8 minifigs, 4 doors and 1 big hatch at the rear end, 1 opening motorhood with detailed motor that barely shows, 2 types of suspension.

Tucson Military Vehicle Museum, Tucson, AZ.

I tried to make a tank with some suspension and so, as you can see for yourself, here it is. A bit smaller than my other tanks, still way bigger then my MRAPS and wheeled APCs. Each one fits nine minifigs. Basically it's just another tank, still hope you enjoy it!

Universally recognized as one of the ugliest fighting vehicles in Europe and perhaps the world at large, the Uskok was designed to take a beating and deliver one too. Loaded down with reactive armor, standard applique, hard-kill APS devices, integrated soft-kill APS devices, as well as a multitude of other defensive features, the -84 is capable of delivering its internal payload of usually six dismounts to any combat scenario whilst additionally protecting its crew of three (sometimes four depending on the necessity for a combat network officer in large-scale maneuvers). And just by looking at the AFV, one can see that it packs a hefty wallop in the way of firepower. Although the M-84 has yet to see combat due to the intervention of coalition forces in the Balkans, it is believed to be one of the most capable heavy IFVs to date given its unprecedented firepower, armor, and agility (the latter deriving from the fact it is built on a modified version of the Klepht chassis with a ramped up powerhouse).

I've been feeling a bit antsy these past few days, so I figured I'd complete a project that's been sitting around on my PC for awhile now and post it before my flight out to the Old World. Naturally it's a horrendous lumpy thing, but so is the source material--the recently unveiled Russian T-15. I'll see about taking photos of that MRAP, too.

The vehicle has a crew of four, as well as offering a payload capacity of 1,800kg. Although originally designed with a roof hatch for a crew-served weapon, almost all M-ATVs have been outfitted with the CROWS IV remote weapon system.

The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV; colloquial: Humvee) is a family of light, four-wheel drive, military trucks and utility vehicles produced by AM General. It has largely supplanted the roles previously performed by the original jeep, and others such as the Vietnam War-era M151 jeep, the M561 "Gama Goat", their M718A1 and M792 ambulance versions, the Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle, and other light trucks. Primarily used by the United States military, it is also used by numerous other countries and organizations and even in civilian adaptations. The Humvee saw widespread use in the Gulf War of 1991, where it navigated the treacherous desert terrain; this usage helped to inspire civilian Hummer versions. The vehicle's original unarmored design was later seen to be inadequate. The vehicle was found to be particularly vulnerable to improvised explosive devices in the Iraq War. The U.S. hastily up-armored select models and replaced front-line units with the MRAP.

Finally have time to set up all my vehicles and soldiers for display.

Took me several hours to line them up and putting the guns into the minifigs hands. So time consuming and tiring...
