Finally have time to set up all my vehicles and soldiers for display.

Took me several hours to line them up and putting the guns into the minifigs hands. So time consuming and tiring...

The special forces are armed with British Assault Rifle L85A2 as their primary weapon. They are also armed with MP9 and P99 pistol.

The FHP provides the primary SWAT team in the state of Florida, able to serve warrants and other issues anywhere throughout the entire state. The SWAT team is comprised of the FHP with members of surrounding local and state agencies such as the FWC. The MRAP, a $500,000 vehicle in value, was aquired through a military surplus program for under $2,000.

Standard powerplant for the Dragoon VI is a 350hp hybrid electric engine with 930 Nm of torque – a compact derivate of the engine in the XA-290 APC.

A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) Vehicle at the FHP Troop D Headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The FHP ordered multiple surplus MRAPs from the US Military, one for each Troop HQ, in mid to late 2016 in direct response to the Pulse nightclub shooting in downtown Orlando to allow troopers and officers to engage armed gunmen. The vehicles were worth about $500,000 each but purchased by FHP for about $2,000 each.

The Dragoon All-Protected Vehicle (APV) is a joint venture between German Krauss-Maffei Wegman (KMV) and Swedish Hägglunds, intended specifically for the NDC ground forces. The Dragoon is the NDC’s principal MRAP type vehicle, built to withstand land mines, IEDs, artillery fragments and NBC-threats. The NDC forces deploy Dragoon APVs in conflict zones where mines, IEDs and ambushes by enemy forces are imminent threats.

Here is an image of my Cougar's construction. I made the monocoque chassis expandable to accommodate the 4x4 and 6x6 variants. The roof had several iterations, depending upon the weapons configuration, as well as the communications and observation equipment. I even made the Caterpillar C-7 in typical yellow and black. Probably not authentic but, once again, I couldn't resist!

Just before 6pm the Horicon to Oshkosh job finally begins its trek back home as they cross Hwy 91 with a load of fresh Oshkosh Defense MRAP ATV's.

The "Aegean" MRAP is the newest vehicle for the Spanish Republic arsenal. Built heavy and tough for the long-range patrols and heavy combat situations. It is currently being proven it's worth in the insurgency in the Lower Spain region and Colonies of the SR.

Being esentially a rear-echelon support vehicle, the Dragoon VI FCV carries the lighter M228 Monitor RWS with a 7.62 MG3 installed instead of the standard M226 Sentry RWS.

Though having a different vehicle designation, the KAMAZ 6602 is still a member of the 5602 family of vehicles, sharing the same armoured cab, engine and drivetrain as its four-wheeled cousins.

While its tough armour provides excellent protection for its crew, the increased weight means the Dragoon can't operate efficiently in areas with soft or loose ground conditions, like the smaller and lighter Wolfhound.

The Branch: USMC

The Vehicle: JMTV heavy weapon-carrier configuration.

The Idea: Mount a Rheinmetall unmanned Lance-turret on an MRAP to give it the firepower of an IFV.

The Mission: To ruin somebody's day.

In other news, my redesigned tank and MRAP vehicles are ready to photograph and be posted! I'm going to have to find a camera though, the iPhone camera just isn't cutting it ;)

The rear compartment of the Dragoon VI FCV houses a retractable mast housing long-range- and satellite communications.

I got this far on this then realised that all I really wanted to do was pull out some superglue and strip/sheet styrene and make a real model.

And yes, it has an interior.

No, I'm not going to show it to you.

Why? I might finish it one day.

While its armour has proven to offer excellent protection for the vehicle’s crew, the increased weight means the Dragoon can't operate as efficiently in areas with very soft/loose ground conditions as other, lighter vehicles. This has however not proven to be a significant drawback in recent NDC operations where Dragoons have been deployed.
