The КAЛMAЗ Tифyyн is a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected [MRAP] amphibious vehicle of the Khakas National Garrison. With four large wheels with variable hydraulic height for optimal off-road performance and a powerful engine, the Tифyyн is a very adept APC. The Factory КAЛMAЗ, the military branch factory of Кoи Automotives, developed this vehicle upon request by the Khakas Provisional Government, and was completed under the foresight of the National Garrison. One might think a tall, windowed, eerily-similar-to-a-airport-fire-engine Armored Personnel Carrier would be ineffective, but to the contrary, its remarkable ability to resist improvised mines and strangely high speed makes it a favorite amongst the mechanized portions of the Khakas National Garrison.
On our trip back to NC from Ft Benning GA, we passed this truck hauling one of the U.S. Army’s new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected, or MRAP, armored vehicle. They are designed to withstand the IED (improvised explosive device). We can just pray that these will save more of our soldier's lives in the future.
This image was straight out of my Sony Cybershot 7.2 mp. No editing done at all on this.
Two photos of a NASA M113 at the Kennedy Space Center. The M113 Armored Personnel Carrier offered Apollo and Space Shuttle astronauts a safe vehicle to get away from the launch pad in the event of an emergency. During a shuttle launch, two M113s were at standby, less than one mile away from the launch pad - each with a crew of firefighters onboard. Another M113 was at an emergency bunker near the pad. The M113s have been retired and have been replaced by Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles which are faster and have 4-inch thick windows. In one of the photos, the iconic "Vehicle Assembly Building" (VAB) is in the background.

A joint patrol between a USMC M-ATV and a Peshmerga-operated HMMWV, somewhere in the Middle East. Peacekeeping missions such as this are critical to regional security, and many coalition partners can be spotted participating in combined operations.

Showing off the size difference between the Matvee and Humvee models, which is pretty substantial in both Lego and real life.
The biggest goal with rebuilding the M-ATV was getting closer to the actual scale and shape of the real life truck. I'm still a fan of the original model from 2013, but it wasn't a very realistic model. The hood shaping was too boxy, the doors were the wrong shape, and overall it was too tall.
This new model corrected all of that, while keeping in all the previous play features and even adding in some new ones. Overall, it is still about one plate taller than 1:40 scale, but there's only so much you can do when trying to cram minifigs inside.
This is the Flight photo i took of our entire flight. i just told everybody to run and get anywhere they wanted to and only one guy decided to stand in the middle. i thought that was interesting. best viewed in original size
Heavily influenced by Pixel Fox's incredible model, I'm glad I finally found an excuse to build a MRAP again :D
Bet you'll never guess what SN stands for :P
Near future/modern military stuff. Features are: openable doors and roof, retractable ramp at the back and fully functional steering/suspension.
On a side note, uploading every three days becomes a pretty intense work and I have a slight suspicion you guys are getting tired of my constant updates. I literally made a render farm out of my poor laptop and I can't really build anything new because of this. Please, let me know if you think I should take a break or prove me wrong and maybe show some more interest in my work! Please?
"There was a fight between the Marauder and the Earth...and the Earth lost."
If anyone knows about the Marauder it's probably because of that old Top Gear episode .
We were in Croatia at a car rental agency a few years back, and upon hearing we were South African, the agent's very next question was "Have you seen the Marauder in real life?".
Of course, nobody else knew what he was talking about. Because we don't ever see them on the road, this isn't really targeted at civilians. It's a military MRAP that (according to a theory I heard) was painted red in order to get it into motoring shows for the publicity.
But hey, it's road-legal, and you can buy it. I mean, there's probably better things to do with that kind of money, but still.
The build for this one didn't take me very long, once I finally had the bonnet figured out. The wheels are a bit too fat, but otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
The Buffalo is a wheeled mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) armored military vehicle built by Force Protection, Inc., a division of General Dynamics. It is the largest vehicle in Force Protection's line-up, followed by the Cougar MRAP and the Ocelot light protected patrol vehicle (LPPV). Thank you WIkipedia:

As well as having planes at the Pima Air and Space Museum they have a couple of military vehicles as well. How would you like to see this in your rear view mirror you on your morning commute?
If you should find yourself in Tucson, AZ and would like to visit this museum there's something you should know if you're a veteran. This museum is a PRIVATE museum, in no way connected with the DOD or the US Government. What this means is that they DO NOT give any sort of discount to currently serving military folks and/or veterans. Just be aware.
On running board
* Mark 5 Patrol Boat
* Riverine RCB
* Riverine RHIB
* Super high speed SWCC Boat
* Micro Scale Bainbridge
* AH6
* Buffalo MRAP
Maybe a few others, I have parts coming for about 3 of these.
Upgraded the weapon station and added an anti-air option to other turret. No further changes now, these are done!
The Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) family of vehicles provides Soldiers with highly survivable multimission platforms capable of mitigating improvised explosive devices, rocket-propelled grenades, explosively formed penetrators, underbody mines and small arms fire threats which produce the greatest number of casualties in Overseas Contingency Operations.
The Army MRAP enduring fleet is comprised of two primary vehicle platforms, the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) and the MaxxPro Family of Vehicles. This versatile family of vehicles performs the mission roles of Armored Personnel Carrier, Weapons Carrier, Convoy Protection Platform, Key Leader Vehicle, Command Post and Armored Ambulance.
MRAP's also provide light forces with protected mobility and mounted firepower to perform Wide Area Security while countering threats employing asymmetric tactics. They provide a rapid motorization capability for Brigade Combat Teams as the mission transitions from decisive operations to stability, or perform rear-area security during decisive operations.

The Mack Defense Industries Manticore 6x6 MRAP is the latest Class II MRAp in service with the US military.
Produced by MDI, an offshoot of Mack Trucks Inc, the Manticore replaces older Class II vehicles such as the Cougar 6x6, RG 33L, and Caiman 6x6.
Riding slightly higher than previous Class II vehicles, the Manticore is also equipped with a gravitational equalizer at the bottom of the V hull, lowering the MRAP's center of gravity and making it much more effective in off-road conditions.
The Manticore carries a crew of two, driver and navigator/gunner, and is equipped with seating for up to 11 dismounts.
The Manticore is equipped with x2 paired smoke-grenade launchers on either side of the cab, and a twin M2A7 Browning equipped CROWS turret on the roof, along with a wire cutter over the cab.
This particular vehicle, 28, is attached to the USS Excelsior's (FCD 001) Shipboard Marine Detachment (SMD).

And this rounds out my USIMC vehicles posted for now. I have two more vehicles in my collection, but don't have the pics for them yet, so they'll be revealed later on.
Hope you all like it!
Following the discovery that, sometimes, the ground could blow up under lightweight transports and send everyone inside to oblivion, a programme was initiated with the aim of at least making a more resilient vehicle, if not stopping the ground problem entirely.
No progress has been made on the latter goal.

This C-5 served with the 68th Alrlift Squadron/433rd Airlift Wing at Lackland AFB, TX before being retired to AMARG during Feb. 2013 where it is now preserved on Celebrity Row.
As the Air Force’s largest and only strategic airlifter, the C-5 Galaxy can carry more cargo farther distances than any other aircraft. With a payload of six Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs) or up to five helicopters, the C-5 can haul twice as much cargo as any other airlifter.
Features working suspension (independent on each wheel), over 50 printed parts and space for 7 minifigures + 1 gunner.
This light cargo VTOL has been on the receiving end of many jabs and insults due to her chubby nature, the "Penguin" is the first in a line of specialized Darkwater Executor vehicles from Poseidon Industries.

I redid my Strider in camo and changed the design a little. It still seats four figs in the correct positions and doesn't have steering/suspension (yet). As always C&C appreciated!
Also I'm looking for suggestions on what vehicle from ARMA 3 to make next, please let me know what you would like to see!
My entry for the LUV category in the Annual Military build competition.

Six years ago this week (August 6th, 2011) marked a dark day for American fighting forces: Extortion 17, a CH-47D helicopter delivering special operations soldiers on a raid in Afghanistan was shot down. The ill-fated mission saw the single greatest loss of American life during the war in Afghanistan. Among the 38 killed were 15 US Navy SEALs from Gold Squadron, part of the popularly known SEAL Team 6. The raid on Osama Bin Laden's Pakistani compound was just three months before. The owner of the Pennsylvania & Southern Railway has a strong relationship with that community, and his employees turned one of their EMD switchers into this rolling tribute at the end of 2016. Each of the Americans killed are remembered with a star on the cab.
To commemorate the anniversary the employees made sure the locomotive was looking extra sharp and had it out and about, so it was seen by people in the Cumberland Valley Business Park and the Letterkenny Army Depot. The bright, patriotic locomotive catches the eye of people passing by, and the Extortion 17 titles give them a reason to turn to Google and find out why they should never forget.
Here the Pennsylvania and Southern crew pose with PSCC Number 17 after pulling military flats loaded with Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles fresh from refurbishment at the Depot. They stopped briefly for a photo before continuing their work preparing the loads for shipment out on CSX.
A fireteam of Marines out on patrol with their M-ATV, somewhere in the Al Dabir desert. Due to its modularity, most vehicles were designed to be equipped with a roof hatch and crew-served weapons turret – however since the 2010s many M-ATVs have been retrofitted with Crew Remotely Operated Weapons Systems (CROWS) turrets, to increase crew survivability.
---
My original M-ATV design is ten years old this year, so it seemed like it was time to redo it. It's always been one of my favorite models, so I wanted to improve the shaping across the board, since there's plenty of newer pieces these days. As usual, thanks to the normal gang (Andrew, Brian, Corvin, Erik, and Matt) for help and feedback along the way!
