Mouse likes the new dresser because she has space to ride her tricycle up and down whilst she plots her next dastardly scheme ^____^
Some more photos of Harvest Mice from my time spent with them last month, just because they're adorable!
Eurasian Harvest Mouse / micromys minutus. (Captive bred) Derbyshire. 23/05/15.
'REVEALING A DARKER SIDE'.
At a photography workshop three years ago, working with captive bred Harvest Mice, I can remember being very surprised by the intense colour of their underfur. I discovered that beneath the bright, gingery-brown guard hairs lies a dense black fur.
The Harvest Mouse pictured was happily clambering around some dead plant stems. It frequently passed thin projections that dug into it, causing the guard hairs to become dishevelled and out of place. This is exactly what had happened when I made the image, thus revealing the area of sooty black underfur.
BEST VIEWED LARGE.
I made 3 dozen Mickey Mouse cookies and 3 dozen cupcakes for a birthday party for my neighbors daughter. I was happy with the way they turned out and they were fun to make.
For Burns Night, an extract from one of his poems. With Bella's attention, what mouse wouldn't be a "tim'rous beastie"?!
I'll be thinking of my Scottish friends as you celebrate tonight.
With the loss of my cat this week, I've kept her toys and put them into storage along with a few other things. The blue mouse on an elastic string with handle, she used to run around after for hours (more so when she was younger) and it squeaks.
A local cat charity had some of the other things, food and cat litter and some unused scratching poles and toys she never played with.
Given an HDR treatment.
She may be little but dont let that fool you.
Mighty Mouse does not know her own size. In fact in her head she is a great dane amongst dogs :)
I love this little mouse. It is my latest addition to my family of handmade mohair critters. It is the first time I have used eyelashes, but they really suit this little mouse. It is 4.5" seated ( 12 cms) and weighted a little with lead shot, so it sits nicely in your hand.
Well, not really attack.
The light was not great in this shot but it's been a long time since Mouse appeared on my stream so I brought my camera when I went over to visit Mad and Mouse this afternoon.
There's a lot of grain but that's okay, you can still see how cute Mouse is.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Little mouse looking for tree seeds under the car.
Maybe the car even cracked some open?
Kleine Maus schaut unter dem Auto nach Baum-Samen. Vielleicht hat das Auto sogar ein paar aufgeknackt?

"The works of Katharina Fritsch are based on images of memory, drawn from what she has seen or dreamed. She creates images that combine the real and the unreal, objects that are tangible yet appear like an illusion. Through this, they seem to exist in a parallel relationship to our everyday world. in 'Man and Mouse', the mouse is transformed into a dramatically enlarged figure that has taken up residence on the man's bed. The work can be interpreted as a materialized version of a nightmare, illustrating how small worries in dreams can grow and appear monstrous. For Fritsch, it is 'a picture of despair, of the nightmarish pressure I sometimes feel at night. 'At the same time, the work can also be seen humorously, as 'an image of a completely unbalanced relationship in which two people totally miss each other,' as described by the artist."

I call this wood mouse Peanut as it loves them and peanut butter. It is in a teapot here that I hung up in the hope birds might have nested in it but they didn't so I put seed in it now and of course the mice have found it
I sat down for a rest on a path by the lake in Żywiec. The wind was rustling the leaves around me. Suddenly, one of the "leaves" brushed against my shoe—going in the opposite direction from all the others! I looked closer, and it turned out to be a tiny mouse, maybe a wood mouse. I didn’t manage to take many photos, but I still count the encounter as a success. After observing her for a moment, I gently scared her off into the grass and between some stones—bikes kept whizzing past on the path, and I was afraid she wouldn’t get away in time...
