I stitched together 17 photos to produce this panorama. Taken with a Canon 70D and Canon EF-S 17-55mm lens.

Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. Its height since 2014 is listed as 3,724 metres (12,218 feet), down from 3,764 m (12,349 ft) before December 1991, due to a rockslide and subsequent erosion. It lies in the Southern Alps, the mountain range which runs the length of the South Island. A popular tourist destination, it is also a favourite challenge for mountain climbers. Aoraki / Mount Cook consists of three summits, from South to North the Low Peak (3,593 m or 11,788 ft), Middle Peak (3,717 m or 12,195 ft) and High Peak. The summits lie slightly south and east of the main divide of the Southern Alps, with the Tasman Glacier to the east and the Hooker Glacier to the southwest

Mount Robson is the most prominent mountain in North America's Rocky Mountain range; it is also the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. The mountain is located entirely within Mount Robson Provincial Park of British Columbia, and is part of the Rainbow Range. Mount Robson is the second highest peak entirely in British Columbia, behind Mount Waddington in the Coast Range. The south face of Mount Robson is clearly visible from the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16), and is one of the most photographed features along this route. [...].

Mount Bental is one of Israel’s favorite mountain peaks to visit, partly due to the great panoramic views of the Golan and even Syria but also because Mount Bental was the site of a courageous battle fought during Israel’s war for the Golan. A short drive up, the mountain-top provides both scenic beauty and a glimpse back at the past – with bunkers open to visitors.

A lot of the peaks up in the White Mountains are named after U.S. presidents. I'm not sure why they named this one after the capitol of Nebraska though....

I took this picture back in 2007 with my first digital DSLR which was a Nikon D50. That camera still works.

The Pacific North West is an awesome place to visit. I have never snow skied, but I wanted to see the mountain and Timberline Lodge.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a massive sculpture carved into Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. Completed in 1941 under the direction of Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln, the sculpture's roughly 60-ft.-high granite faces depict U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

Alaska has to be the 'land of the pano'. The vista of Mount Denali from the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge is another example of a must-do pano. On our recent trip to Alaska we were fortunate to have good viewing weather of the Alaska Range.

Mechanic Jo's shop has been very busy ever since it opened. I managed to catch this photo of her mounting a tire for one of her customers :-)

Mount Hood, called Wy'east by the Multnomah tribe, is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc. It was formed by a subduction zone on the Pacific coast and rests in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is located about 50 miles (80 km) east-southeast of Portland, on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties. In addition to being Oregon's highest mountain, it is one of the loftiest mountains in the nation based on its prominence.

Mount Timpanogos Basin hiked via the Timpooneke Trail. The flowers were at their height a whole month later this year due to the deep snows from last winter. This was taken on 9-10-2019 and the next day snow came in and covered everything, although perhaps some of it has melted off again.

Mount Rainier is a elusive mountain that seems to change shape and form depending on the time of year. It can be invisible behind clouds for weeks at a time during the winter, or dominate the Seattle skyline in the summer. It's impossible to miss this iconic mountain when it shows itself. Even after living in the area for much of my life, it still takes my breath away.

Mount Popa-flowers in Sanscrit- is the cone of an extinct volcano and is regarded as the Mount Olympus of Myanmar-the home of the gods.

Mt Jo is a nice hike from the Loj in the heart of the Adirondacks. This is the view to the south at sunrise, with Algonquin just poking over Wright. Algonquin about 3.3 miles away. The peaks to the left are Marcy and Colden. First snow of the year. Heart Lake obscured by valley fog. Sadly, trip made too late for good foliage color. Still … any day in the Adirondacks is a good day.

Leaving the Hunter Valley mainline at Antienne is a relatively short branch serving the BHP coal mine at Mt Arthur. Trains serving the loaders at the end of the branch are configured as push pull with a loco at either end.

5003 was on one of batch of 12 GE C40aci locos built by UGL in 2005 for Queensland National (later Aurizon) for their first foray into the Hunter Valley. Weighing in at 176 tonnes the 4000hp 5000 class are the heaviest units at work in the Hunter.
