Many of the mosquitoes that are a problem for people are classified as "container-breeding mosquitoes" because of their preference for laying eggs in containers with water. A common breeding site for these mosquitoes are tires that are left outdoors. These accumulate water and are difficult to drain. By reducing breeding sites such as this, we can reduce interactions with mosquitoes.
