The low morning sun glints along the platform and stock as 1Y14, the 0836 service for London Kings Cross awaits dispatch at Retford Station. The "OFF" indicator is illuminated and soon the service will leave non stop for London.
What a view it would be to be sitting by a fire drinking a morning coffee.

In God's morning sky...
words from the one hit wonder of George Baker and crew...:))
The inspirational Mt. Feathertop as I first viewed it as the sun broke the horizon in the Victoria Alps of Australia. We have many iconic landmarks in this country and for me this should be an inclusion.
Hard to describe what I felt on this my first sight of snow and to view the snow clad mountain from this stunning mountaintop.
A two stitch landscape image

Our morning star can have many effects when hiking through the autumn forest as this beautiful scene displays.
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul....Darrell.
Have a safe and beautiful day dear flickr friends.
Thank you to everyone for your visits to my photo-stream....very much appreciated !
The second of a series of shots, taken from Ebbor Gorge, looking out towards Glastonbury Tor, at sunrise.
This one called for an early start and meant leaving at 4.30 this morning, to pick up my dad for our first photoshoot together, also my first sunrise shoot.
I'd driven past this location a number of times before, in the daylight and was well aware of the far reaching views.
I'd picked up a tip from Steve Spraggon that this was a good location for mist shots and was not disappointed!
No filters, just a minor adjustment to luminance and saturation, also custom White Balance.
Probably all cities are similar in the early morning.
Deserted streets, quiet sleepy parks,
Few cars, rare songs of engines,
Like the strings of a guitar - they sound in their own range
The traffic lights are still blinking with yellow eyes,
The fog recedes, crowding among the narrow alleys,
So slowly the city embraces the leaden morning,
The tram signal loudly told us about this.
Thank you very much for your visits, faves and comments.
