Farewell to the autumn - series 3.
First morning after descending from Mount Kinabalu. Did a long exposure of the fog sweeping in, if look closely, you can see the light rays between the trees!
Thanks Nora for arranging the accommodation here for us, beautiful place to watch the clouds and Mount Kinabalu.
Maryland Midland GP38-3 2060 was soaking up the morning light as it led a former Southern Pacific SD45 rebuilt into a G&W SD40M-2 up the hill to Lehigh Cement.
In a short while, they would return downhill with 9 loads of cement.
Built as Baltimore and Ohio GP38 3831 in 1967, the 2060 still wears the MMID colors as a heritage unit of sorts amongst the sea of G&W orange and black.
Just as it is outside...my sketch is still very wet....wrong paper and wrong ink in my fountain pen....and maybe too much water? But it is what it is...my coffee mug this morning.

Shortly after construction in the early 40's a maple floor was added to the ballroom and Bonnie And Betty's soon became the area hotspot. Folks came from Burlington and the surrounding area to dance to the music played by local orchestras.

The morning elephant ride in Corbett Park (Uttaranchal, North India) is a strange and wonderful experience, especially when another lumbering pachyderm bearing human cargo emerges from the dawn mist. The objective of the ride is to spot wildlife, perhaps even an early-rising tiger, but the hypnotic motion and magical landscape makes the ride much more than a means to an end.

Morning Glory Pool is a hot spring in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. The distinct color of the pool is due to the bacteria which inhabit the water. On a few occasions the Morning Glory Pool has erupted as a geyser, usually following an earthquake or other nearby seismic activity.
Another early morning capture on the bank of the Missouri River. I would have hoped for a calm and smooth river, but when it comes to nature you take what's offered! Thanks all for the views, comment and faves!

Morning light Embarcadero long exposure study. This location is one of my favorite spot to practice the morning long exposure shot with water front view. The best part was with a bird stay there for about 3 minutes ;) The smooth water and the clouds are interesting to see with warm morning sun light.

Morning fog rolled into the bay during the sunrise time. Beautiful sun light see through the fog with layers of clouds :) Battery spencer is a popular spot to watch the sunrise. The lucky snapshot.
