There is something so fresh about the early morning, when the world seems to be made anew.

For us the stands of trees on the opposite hillside wake when the crows and rooks that nest there suddenly rise like a cloud and fly off. This day I missed the big exodus!

Sunlight seeps through early morning mist in this woodland on Brown Clee Hill, Shropshire.

The last morning of the trip the weather didn't know what it wanted to do. It rained, the sun came out, it got cloudy again. It did however, result in this mini rainbow over one of the distant hills.

Dürrenroth in Emmental, Switzerland, suddenly appears behind the trees as I come out of the dense forest during one of my early morning drives.
