As we headed out for an early morning kayak in Kenai Fjords National Park, this beautiful misty morning is what greeted us. Had an otherworldly encounter with an immature bald eagle while kayaking around on the lagoon too!

A cold sunrise morning in March at lake Mjøsa. The ice is still on the water, but the sun is starting to get warm in the middle of the day, so spring is slowly approaching here in the north.

Being up on a hill at 5:30AM certainly does wonders for the mood. A cleansing almost, as the sun brings the morning light to start a new day. If anything it certainly wakes you up!

I really enjoy being at the marsh early in the morning. You never know what might wander in front of your lens. This little sandpiper scurries along the duckweed laden mud in search for a meal as the sun rises over the fields.
