Morning mist on my favorite pond on the I&M Canal. I was looking for herons but to no avail, so this was just a grab shot.

San Vicente de la Barquera, with the Picos de Europa mountains on a spring morning. A rare view of snow capped peaks and the Atlantic ocean in the same frame, south of Iceland. The clouds were much more photogenic earlier in the morning, but there was no break in the clouds to illuminate the village and the mountains together.

After being away from the camera and the computer for a few days, I treated myself to a sunrise by the marina. Good morning world.
Magical Morning Moments - Without doubt, the light produced by a beautiful morning sunrise or the golden glow of an evening sunset (both times known as the 'Golden Hour') are the very best times of the day to think about capturing a subject through your camera lens. If you're fortunate enough to be out and about during these particular times of the day when the conditions are in favour then you're in for a very special treat which will totally boost your images.
I stayed a night at the mountain hut "Berggasthaus Schäfler". I sleept not very well, because the bed was to small for me. The bed is good for the little appenzeller people, but not for the large tourists. So I was happy to get up early in the morning to catch this beautiful sunrise ;)

First shot with my new drone, absolutely terrified going over the water, thankfully it came back and lives to take more images... and what a morning to have my first flight, calm, still, and a sunrise to enjoy.
