This is the pier you use to visit Wat Pho. As with most piers there are a lot of people selling food and tat to locals and tourist. The fruit in some images in this section is Durian. Smells like death but tastes good...apparently.
The Single Monk is on a ferry leaving the pier. The three young Monks are actually at Central Pier/Sathorn (Taksin). The building behind is the "Ghost Tower" Something I was looking out for and missed completely until processing these pictures.

A Monk Seal basking off of Papa'iloa Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. The Hawaiian monk seal (Monachus schauinslandi) is considered the most endangered seal in U.S. waters. There are only about 1200.

Opened on Lower Wacker Dr. in 1969, Monk's Pub moved to the 1946 building at 205 W. Lake St. in 1971. The present owner installed the monastery motif in 1978.
After watching the spectacular sunrise this morning, I went to breakfast and then made a stop by the place where I normally see the sea turtles. Imagine my surprise when this monk seal came up on the beach right in front of me. Absolutely amazing.

At the English language studies evaluation contest about the important difference between a monastery and a big commercial space and which is better.
