Outside of Oberhaid, a small town north of Bamberg. It's a small lake (or large pond) in the Hassberge mountains, a nice spot for a Sunday walk. [P1060803_lr_2000]

A minimalistic study. I saw the monk in Galle, Sri Lanka.

The monk seemed to smile at the web in his hands. To me the web symbolizes life with its divergence and fragibility. Image taken in Lindau, Germany 2016.

Another "gone in 60 sec" moment.....the quality of the photo is not so good, I had to do it fast, and to stay unnoticed....I was somehow embarrassed to interrupt this moment...I had a feeling that i found myself in the middle of old flemish masters painting....

Three Buddhist monks at the ruins of Wat Chaiwatthanaram in the ancient capital of Ayutthaya.

Wikipedia: Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thailand, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya's best known temples and a major tourist attraction.

The temple was constructed in 1630 by the king, Prasat Thong, as the first temple of his reign, as a memorial of his mother's residence in that area. The temple's name literally means the Temple of long reign and glorious era. It was designed in Khmer style to gain Buddhist merit and as a memorial to his mother, however Prince Damrong believed it was built to celebrate Ayutthaya Kingdom's victory over Longvek.
