HMS Mohawk (F125) was a Tribal-class frigate of the Royal Navy. She was named after a tribe of Native Americans who are located in southeast Canada and New York State. Mohawk was built by Vickers of Barrow-in-Furness. She was launched on 5 April 1962 and commissioned on 29 November 1963.

In 1979, Mohawk was placed in Reserve, the Standby Squadron. In 1980 Mohawk decommissioned and the following year was placed on the disposal list and subsequently sold for scrap

This has got to be the coolest hairstilo I have seen in a long time. This is hotter than any East Village Mohawk. Stilo lauds!

I took this picture in Brooklyn's QTrain Dekalb stop. Some girls wre staring me down when I took the pic and I thought they wanted to start a fight. When we got on the train they said "Girrrrrrl we were doing the same thing!" then the held up their Sidekicks! We then exchanged emails and I encouraged them to start a blog and flikr account so they can post all their NYC maladies. I love Brooklyn! Only in NYC will u be called out for snapping SNAFUS and the next mintue exchanging blogging tips.

Baby Reason is outside examining our pile of wood. His mohawk hat is a colorful blue.

I like how my hair matches the toy behind me. This was shot by accident.

Just a weird twist to my hair on my first Mohawk.

After we made a snowman the other day the little man drew these snowpeople...with mohawks. So punk.

The stamping mill was built in 1878 for the Plumas-Eureka Mines and eventually had 60 stamps. The stamps were powered by a water wheel supplemented by a steam engine. Now part of Plumas-Eureka State Park, Johnsville, California.

Adam's little cousin, TJ, is adorable. Adam told him to keep it a secret, and they went into his grandma's bathroom and with the help of water, hair gel, and a hairdryer (which then helped us to blow a circuit) TJ was sporting this for the rest of the day.

I loved my Mohawk! I'm gonna do it again this spring.

New Mind Space mounts a Bubble Battle in Astor Place, because, well, because it's summer, and who doesn't love making bubbles? It ends up being a silly and delightful event that runs to a couple of generations and encompasses an easygoing wide range of personal styles.

Check back for more bubble shots; there are many in the queue. And if you find yourself in my pictures, let me know with a comment below - I'll add your name to the tags, so you'll be searchable.

Such a hardcore punk!

Probably Mabel/Upper Mohawk area.

Jim Wilson, Clyde Sloan and Will Newton after a hunting trip.

Jim Wilson ran a logging camp on the upper Mohawk somewhere near Mabel in the early 1900s.

Both deer are 3-Point Blacktails. Photo is too grainy to identify the make/model of the rifles.

...leveled and removed. I've taken quite a few pictures of this facility in it's previous level of ruination. I was a bit sad to see it gone when I came here today. It was a hazardous site though, so it was bound to happen.

= awesome piece of graffiti found along first avenue, downtown pittsburgh.
