A recent experiment with modular drawing. All sections drawn in 58 minutes. Starting with one drawing across a trifold, I used folds in subsequent drawings as seeds for other ones. Some patterns only appear when two sheets are folded and aligned.
There are some inaccuracies because I would occasionally draw across a fold by accident.
I wanted my growing modular Lego town to have a centrepiece. I also wanted to try and build a building with classical elements. The result is a little market hall, like the ones one can find in little towns in France or England. It is open on all sides, but the front facade has more decoration than the other sides. Inside there is not a lot going on; only one merchant is trying to sell some vegetables, but there is a fierce competition from the neighboring Green Grocer.
A ring torus I made for class in the period of 4 days out of 555 PHiZZ modules (designed by Tom Hull.)
Regular (square) & triangle versions
detailed tutorial coming soon.
PS:
30 modules joint is possible ;)

Our LUG's next building challenge is a modular standard building but only 8 studs wide. I randomly picked a blue and dark gray 8x16 so I thought it'd be neat to have a lake house. Of course, now I have to hope it'll eventually be displayed next to some water.
I kept the masonry bricks out of this because while it might look like it needs more detail on the outside, typical lake/beach houses are long slats. I thought it might look better.
Next step is to order all the parts I don't already have. I'm really happy with this one, so I hope it holds up IRL.

I just swtiched out the tiles to make this one. Completely redoing the tiles takes about 2 hours of cutting the paper size, folding them all, and switching them out.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - This is a vintage piece from Scandinavia (or two pieces, rather) that our indefatigable intern Jasper painted for us. What was once run-of-the-mill has become anything but, with colors that really pop, but stay grounded enough (with the grey and blue) not to overwhelm a room. Also, super-practical storage!
Width 80cm, depth 37.5cm, height 58cm (per piece)
