A recent experiment with modular drawing. All sections drawn in 58 minutes. Starting with one drawing across a trifold, I used folds in subsequent drawings as seeds for other ones. Some patterns only appear when two sheets are folded and aligned.
There are some inaccuracies because I would occasionally draw across a fold by accident.

Here is canal module works with 8x8 mini modular. 2 of buildings are connected by pedestrian bridge, also pavement is made in 8x4 fashion.
8x8 mini modular buildings should be raised 2 brick height to level with the canal module and street/bridge sub-modules.

These are modulars which are assembled from unfolded units. Folding units for modulars is tedious but for these modulars, you move straight to assembly. Of course, this is the tricky part. The enantiomorphic symmetry makes assembly more difficult. The models are representations of the dimpled dodecadedron, octahedron and tetrahedron. The number of strips required for each module is the same as the number of faces of the polyhedron.

Well I had nothing to do anyway, so I finished the modular building in Lego Digital Designer that I started a few months ago. It's a train museum :-)

This cube with a heart on the corners of each face is perfect as a hanging decoration !
Leyla Torres took the heart model by Ildikó Vass and made the unit for this cube .
The unit can also be used as a photo frame and is very fun to make!

I was wondering if I could make any plane modulars, to cover my laptop's keyboard when idle and also good enough to show off my skills in folding. Now I've got a lot more than I expected. It is too good to just be used as a cover. Diagrams and some modifications coming soon...

I wanted my growing modular Lego town to have a centrepiece. I also wanted to try and build a building with classical elements. The result is a little market hall, like the ones one can find in little towns in France or England. It is open on all sides, but the front facade has more decoration than the other sides. Inside there is not a lot going on; only one merchant is trying to sell some vegetables, but there is a fierce competition from the neighboring Green Grocer.
