Another one that got so far then fell by the wayside, this Fleetmaster kit of the East Lancs bodied Dennis Dominator. LFR131T was one of a pair loaned, then bought from Blackburn at deregulation - at 7 years old, amongst the youngest deckers owned. This one just needs the interior painted and glazed. Even found the bag with the seats painted already whilst spraying another model in the garage earlier today - nice result. I've a funny feeling though that the chassis was cut up to provide white metal for something else, and I know I've definitely plundered the staircase for another project - one that DID get finished! Oh well, I foresee some scratchbuilding with plasticard sheet.
This model is based on an article by Iain C Robinson in the May 1978 issue of Railway Modeller magazine, "Low Relief Signal Box". That article (p.147) refers to another in the October 1962 issue "Lean-to Signal Box at Wolsingham, NER". The 1978 article includes drawings of the construction of the model, and two photographs.
