The Ford Model T was one of the earliest mass production vehicles. It was manufactured from 1908 through 1927 and was an international success. In fact, LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen owned a Model T, which he used to deliver his early wooden toys.
I based my MOC off of the 1912 model, with a few creative liberties taken. For example, the car has a chassis that is far from an exact representation; I just wanted to add some silver bits underneath.
Another goal was to bring LEGO Friends into the early 20th Century. This car is actually a part of a much larger MOC that will be professionally photographed. Stay tuned...

There is a village called Curepipe on the island of Mauritius (off the East coast of Africa) that specializes in the manufacture of these model ships. This specimen about 60 cm long. It has travelled the world with us over the last 30 years or so.
The blue water has been added by me.
This model is based on an article by Iain C Robinson in the May 1978 issue of Railway Modeller magazine, "Low Relief Signal Box". That article (p.147) refers to another in the October 1962 issue "Lean-to Signal Box at Wolsingham, NER". The 1978 article includes drawings of the construction of the model, and two photographs.
Another of my periodic pans of the layout room. I like to look back and see if any progress is detectable from shot to shot.

I spotted this guy outside Jenners' Store on Princes Street, Edinburgh. At first I thought he had a dog with him, but as I drew nearer I realised the 'dog' was actually a model made of sand (a pile of which can be seen on the left).
I don't know how long the model took to create, but he appeared to be putting the finishing touches to it as I arrived.

The Ford Model A of 1928–1931 (also colloquially called the A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among rodders and customizers)[2] was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a previous model had used the name in 1903–1904) was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors.
