Description:

Housing exhibits from 15 African countries (Niger, Ivory Coast, Upper Volta, Cameroon, Chad, Dahomey, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Gabon, Senegal, Togo, Kenya, Madagascar and Uganda), a natural flow pattern was a fundamental design intention. Each pavilion cluster was formally related to and spatially dependent on its neighbour. A natural ventilation system in the roof design added an underlying consistency to the roof forms.

Today we went to the National Maritime Museum in Sydney. More pictures to follow, but here's me posing on a bench for FGR. In front of me is a model of HMB* 'Endeavour', Captain Cook's ship.

This is also a 365 Days reject - I like it, and it does reflect what I was doing today, but I thought that this was a far better picture, so went for it as my choice for the day. Such is the agony of decision.

*Not 'HMS' - the Endeavour was a bark, not a ship ...

One of the many impressive buildings in the Merseyside model village of Port Sunlight, built with profits from the Lever Brothers soap factory to house its employees in pleasant surroundings. The village has 900 Grade II listed buildings and has been put forward for World Heritage Site status.
