Week #29 ~ Low Key
For this weeks theme a friend very kindly offered to let some of us use his studio and lighting for the low key theme.
Having struggled with this theme in previous years.. I genuinely could not get over the difference in having the proper lighting, flash set up and backgrounds..That and his wonderful expertise of course! It was an absolute pleasure to do this shot this year!

Model of the Rotunda of Galerius. Cast metal, located in the grounds of the Rotunda, near south entrance. Thessaloniki, Greece.
Years ago I found this 1954 US water can next to the garbage bins from the house where I live. Of course I saved it! Now it does a great job in giving me exact dimensions for the 7th scale version I ´ll make for the Jeep. Only the opening has to be modified for it to resemble a gas jerry can. On the Jeep you can see a urethane block in the rough shape to get an idea how to make the brass version.

Lighting - Charcoal grey background. Gridded Beauty Dish powered by Profoto Pro-7a as the main light . Square softbox front and low as fill. 2 medium size strip softboxes behind that were adding rimlight (powered by Profoto compacts). Another profoto compact with a gridded zoom reflector aimed at the background. Strobes triggered with PocketWizards.
