Ever since I was a kid, I've loved Jeeps, and a great deal of that has to do with Jurassic Park.
This isn't the exact model (Wrangler YJ) that was used in the film, but is the Wrangler Rubicon in 1/25th scale.
I painted it up and applied some mud (acrylics mixed with white glue, and pastels). I also made it so the doors open, which was not included in the model. I had to cut the doors off and use some small hinges (from a cheap pair of sunglasses) to make the doors actually function. If I do another, I'll do this again, and make the trunk area open too.

This is one of the last kits I bought as a boy, when I was in high school. I was really going to do a number on this one, since I liked the kit, but by then there were a lot of competing interests, so it remains unbuilt to this day. It would be ironic if I finally got around to it when I retire. Note that Revell included the swastika.

I wonder if they did the box art before the merger of McDonnell and Douglas to produce McDonnell Douglas? I sort of doubt it.
Polar Lights Spider-man model. Built in 2008. I used various techniques of dry brushing, washes and chalk pastels. I didn't like the plastic web that came with the model, it looked like a flower trellis, so I painted some cheese cloth to make the web. I used crackle paint on the banister and kickboard on the stairway. I used a fine point Sharpie pen to fill in the web pattern on Spidey and finished everything off with a matte sealer.
