Mod Monkey Cake w/ Smash Cake- Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Customer wanted the colors to match the birthday boy's party colors.
"Bold graphic patterns" reminds me of the mod 70's, and so I created this brooch using the "crush helix" technique (which seems more than a bit mod to me), and added the zipper for fun!

josh weaver and i worked the recent Scream It Like You Mean It tour in orlando for Mod Sun, The Color Morale, I See Sars, Chiodos, and Breath Carolina's management. show was a fun time hung out with robin osgood, and barrett b. the whole time we shot, fun times. lighting in the venue was a little annoying constant changes never any of those actually lighting the performers faces at all so we just made due.
but if you look at the photo info on the right near the map you will see this was taken Aug. 3, ive just been so backed up with steady work flow tat i havent been able to post any thing from my personal work recently so you will finally be seeing more of the stuff im working on.

The first test shot - bits of my bike and the view out my window. Not a great photo but definitely two images on one Instax. Remember to set the exposure switch on the back to "Darken". I think it might still be a bit over-exposed so may experiment with ND filters in the future.

I was born in the 60's so I don't remember anything about it but I do recall a film called Quadrophenia (1979) in which Sting, from the group The Police that I was crazy for during that era played Ace Face. At that time I think the film was an 18 classification and I thought it was great fun to get in to see it with my mates all of us under age.
I believe the film is based on events in 1964 in Brighton; the music was brilliant and atmosphere in the cinema electric , my young mind probably didn't grasp the gist and seriousness of the film but yeh.... it was exciting!

A friend of my mom's gave me this wild vintage fabric which I made into this pretty cute bag. It has a strap that crosses over diagonally and is adorned with a flower pin in matching fabric. The center of the flower is a crochet-covered bottlecap!
