This is a shopping mall in Potsdamerplatz, Berlin, and I've always been amazed by its modern architecture that always reminded me of a cruise ship.
The Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker is a former government-owned nuclear bunker in Brentwood, Essex.
The bunker was maintained during the cold war as a potential regional government headquarters, built in 1952 - 1953 as part of ROTOR. ROTOR was a programme to improve and harden Britain's air defence network.
The bunker was a hardened Sector Operations Centre (SOC) for RAF Fighter Command. It was to provide command and control of the London Sector of Fighter Command. During the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and early into the 1990's, the Home Office maintained the bunker as an emergency regional government defence site. Eventually in the early 1990s when nuclear threat was seen as diminished, the bunker was sold back to the family who had owned the land in the 1950s.
Inspiration for some of the framing of the shots came from the 1975 New Topographics exhibition.
I'm very much more of a motorbike person than scooter (not as agile, centre of balance seems off compared to a bike, don't handle so well with those wee wheels), but man, I have to admit this is a sweet looking, seriously Mod-pimped ride spotted parked near the canal at Lochrin basin today. Lot of work gone into this.

This was a Vespa 50 owned by Bryn an early 80s Mod, apparently most or all the lights worked assisted by a couple of car batterys although I wouldn't make aguess where they were stored.

The owner wanted a lock on the back of her doll.
I had to glue the torso together and drilled a hole, so the key can be turned around. The lock didn't fit perfectly as the back is very curvy. Breaking it in three pieces and then repair it again with epoxy and paint.
It was a really fun mod to do and learned a lot from it.
