This town is Winamac, Indiana (the name means "catfish" in Potawatomi, the local Indian tribe). It's on the banks of the Tippecanoe River. Small town, just 2500 inhabitants, but it's the worldwide HQ of the company BraunAbility, which makes wheelchair-accessible vehicles. The company is owned by the Swedish conglomerate Investor AB. As you can see, BraunAbility's factory parking lot is half the size of the town!

I thought this lady's scooter was slightly unusual with the rain cover, it reminded me of a johnny cab in Total Recall. Anyway it went through the usual processes and was then treated to a texture overlay taken from a lampshade in costa coffee just up the road from this shot.

I know my face looks unpleasant, that's because it was REALLY sunny. and yeah, I look squinty.

anyways,

did some filming for work today so I took advantage of being in a school bus lot :D

I wish I would have gotten more pictures but without any flat surface nearby it was sort of hard. finally I managed to find a trash can for this picture.

This is actually a Mobility scooter made over to look like a Vespa, for a disabled man who wanted to join a scooter club, like his carer. Sunday saw his 'Ride Out', when he got to ride it along Lincoln Road, with over 200 scooters following behind.

- Hanoi, Vietnam

This is the calmest scene I could photograph in Hanoi. Actually. It's such a hustle and bustle city filled with scooters, noise, and people, that to find an empty street with nothing but a solitary salesman is a rarity.

Imagine the effort he's got to go through just to turn around and try sell you a hat. And then you say, "Oh, sorry you don't have my size". I'd probably pay him just for the effort of dodging 50 scooters.

This was my first real attempt and using dodging and burning on my photos instead of overlays and curves (mainly). I might've gone a bit beyond what I needed too, but I think this looks pretty cool.

In modern India, the great equalizer is the mobile phone!! Surprised?? Well...dont be!! In a country that has been plagued and defined by its many class systems...based on region, religion, creed, caste and economic levels...mobile technology has emerged as the equalizer!! It might not make sense to a lot of people...but in India, what you do for a living has a lot to do with your 'station' in life....archaic huh??

This man is a migrant construction worker. One of the millions of struggling hordes dreaming the 'Indian Dream'. He does not speak the local language Kannada and communication is difficult. He hardly knows to read. His children dont go to school and run around freely. Some day he hopes to enroll them in the 'English School'. His wife, pregnant with another child, works on the construction site as well, carrying loads of concrete and brick on her head. And yet...he has the same mobile device as the Medical college students down the road and the MNC bank officer in the pink house and the just-returned-from-america-software-pro whose house he is building. In fact his device is way better than the one I carried while I was in India during this vacation!! :-))))

Mobile users are estimated to be at 80 Million users....no one has the exact count. The number apparently grows by 5 million users a month!! It turns out that India is the hottest market for Mo-tech today....

We recently sent our mobility coach for a respray as it was one of only two coaches left that had it's lines painted on rather than the vinyl we use now.

Once it came back it received our latest logo's and livery as well as some carefully added detailing around the front and rear windows and the headlights to bring it's styling in line with our new Plaxton Leopard.
