I made an installation of 185 leaves on which I printed the faces of missing people. The installation was part of a site specific exhibition by the collective ELEVEN+ in Queens Wood, London Highgate. I let the wind blow the leaves away throughout the day. People of all ages interacted with the work, picking the leaves up, playing with them, bringing them back or taking them away. I'd be interested to find out from anyone who has found and kept one: how is it doing (is it still intact, in bits, etc) and where exactly are you keeping it.

Workers try to clear snow from Hens & Kelly store in the Como Mall... Cheektowaga store's roof collapsed under tons of snow. Feb 14, 1977 article feb 4, 1977 photo Article: The Great Blizzard of '77 - It all started on January 28. Fast and furious, the storm unfolded its 50 m.p.h. winds and snow and crippled the Cheektowaga area, as well as the rest of Western New York. Motorists abandoned their autos and struggled to shelter. Volunteer firemen and policemen from the Cheektowaga-area communities were heroic in their efforts to help others as snow fighting crews moved as fast as they could. President Carter's son, James, called "Chip" by his friends and family, visited Pheasant Lane in Cheektowaga with area officials and congressional representatives on Feb. 4 in the aftermath of the storm. He described what he saw as "just beyond conception" and one day later President Carter declared nine counties, including seven in Western New York, a major national disaster. On the day of "Chip" Carter's visit, a (rest of article is missing). Photo Credit: Bob Bukaty

Mount Jerome Cemetery, Dublin, Ireland

8 years ago a suspected case of arson saw The Holme, by then empty for a year receive serious structural damage. The Holme, in it's current incarnation had been built around 1603, with later additions in 1854 taking place. The building is Grade II listed, and yet is seriously at risk of further collapse in parts. Floors are missing, and the the roof has half gone. Oak beams lie rotting on sodden floors which have collapsed in places. Fragments of glass remain in the windows and the building seems to be slowly filling up with tyres. Without intervention, this beautiful hall, which originally had priest holes to conceal members of the clergy in more troubled times, will be beyond survival.

She has lost her first tooth - it always makes kids look older.

We don't even know if this photo looks like her anymore. If you've seen this woman, drop a note! I'm guessing she's still in the middle of the metamorphosis.

This expression is very familiar to me.
