What brand of Camera do I own? If you can read backwards you might say D7000 but that is the model. I have a Nikon but after knocking my camera on the concrete floor looking for bed bugs that survived their boiling water bath that front piece that covers the flash broke off. From what I can tell no permanent damage was done just superficial. (well the flash has to be opened manually but those are small details) Fortunately I was able to have it glued back on giving my camera a nice Africa battle scar. (Its has a few others since this isn't the first time I've dropped it here)

8 years ago a suspected case of arson saw The Holme, by then empty for a year receive serious structural damage. The Holme, in it's current incarnation had been built around 1603, with later additions in 1854 taking place. The building is Grade II listed, and yet is seriously at risk of further collapse in parts. Floors are missing, and the the roof has half gone. Oak beams lie rotting on sodden floors which have collapsed in places. Fragments of glass remain in the windows and the building seems to be slowly filling up with tyres. Without intervention, this beautiful hall, which originally had priest holes to conceal members of the clergy in more troubled times, will be beyond survival.

My poor neglected harp has had a missing string for ages since it snapped a while back. I decided to finally replace it today as well as start get back into playing.
Here's how my harp was made, in case you're curious.
Is this flag correct? Yes, between but only between 1707–1801 (England and Scotland).
The present design of the Union Flag dates from a Royal proclamation following the union of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801. The flag combines aspects of three older national flags: the red cross of St George for the Kingdom of England, the white saltire of St Andrew for Scotland and the red saltire of St Patrick to represent Ireland (the missing bit).
Perhaps the home owner doesn't like Ireland... or the printed flag was poorly designed and sold on eBay.

Today I had an engagement shoot (more to come with that one later) but it was cold and windy and it wasn't "nice" fall weather it was "hold on to your hat winter is coming" fall weather. So I'm posting a shot from a weekend up at the cottage.
I remember the day I took this picture so well, and I wonder if it is because I took the picture or because it is a day that stands out in memory for some reason. The thing is there is no real reason for it to stand out. I spent the day lazing around on the dock, read a book (The New Culture of Learning-I know I am super exciting) and then over cooked the perogies I made for dinner into a soggy mess. Oh yeah you can screw up perogies. I'm missing summer.
