Had some service done at the dealership. I keep finding things that don't seem right. Today, I change out the axle nuts to the new recommended replacements, to find, what looks to me like maybe a transmission mount that might be missing.

UPDATE: Turns out this is merely an assembly point during the factory build of the vehicle. Just below the area in question, you can see what is actually the transmission mounting bracket. Thankfully, so far the only thing the dealership mechanic failed to put back together properly is the fender wheel well lining. Now if I could ONLY get the dealership service manager to actually take my phone calls.

fli(kr...like our local bread, it seems to be missing something!

The bread from our local boulangerie always has holes in like this... so how do you make a good peanut butter sarnie?

I'm going to try framing all my photographs and adding the title under the picture....

This also gets rid of all the black against the picture...

I might do it for some of the older ones as you can still replace photos...

This will also help with the pictures I put up to pbase!

Additional pro:

Ooops... there aren't any pros any more!!

Additional point in favour:

You can choose a background colour that works with the picture...

as if you were going to a framers and choosing a matte!!

That will put a lot of NON-BLACK back into Fumblr...

This is my first try...

And it doesn't look too bad on the Photostream page either...

My method:

In your favoured picture mashing programme, create a Basic Background Colour.psd file

Background layer [layer 1] you can build up your colour swatch for quick access

Layer two is your Title layer with a basic word or two in your chosen font on transparent background

Layer three is your signature/tag/wotever and the year

Save file but leave it open on screen.

Open chosen picture... make your alterations [or leave as is]...

make a duplicate of it on a new layer... this is a vital stage if you want to keep the Exif data with the picture.

Delete the picture that is on the background and increase the canvas size.... fill with the colour of your choice.

Cut and paste the basic title to another layer... replace with relevant text.

Cut and paste picture...

save as a psd.

Flatten image and save as a jpeg

It is ready to publish...

convention has it that the border should be at a one third above / two thirds below ratio.

Have fun.

In 1997 this tin sign was found in the attic of 437 7th St NW. The building had been scheduled for demolition by the General Services Administration (GSA). D.C.'s Missing Voice was joined by law enforcement and child advocates on Relisha Rudd Remembrance Day where they distributed her missing poster.

The posters and photos they hold in their hands show a new age progression of Relisha created by NCMEC forensic artists to show what she might look like today, at 17-years-old.

Relisha was only 8-years-old when she was seen on March 1, 2014 on a surveillance video in a Washington, DC motel with Kahil Tatum, a janitor that was working at the D.C. General Shelter where Relisha lived with her mother. Tatum later committed suicide after Relisha was reported missing. Sarah Baker/NCMEC

Missing you my love ...

Installation by French artist Christian Boltanski. One of the buildings was destroyed by Allied bombing in 1945 during World War II. On the neighboring houses you can read the names of the people that lived in the house. Address: Grosse Hamburger Strasse, opposite to Sophienkirche.

It's still a gorgeous space.

A slightly bizarre piece of somewhat bombastic architecture from Sir Edwin Lutyens that commemorates 72,090 missing soldiers from the Battle of the Somme.

I'm walking down your street again and past your door

But you don't live there any more...

But, don't talk to a dog at raining days.

So, don't talk to a dog at raining days.

我想它有自己的寂寞 所以才孤独的走在雨中

Hello, Baby dog. 是否你要借把伞 She is gone.

I am living in the ' house of missing you'.

I am living in the ' house of missing you'.

迷漫房子里的咖啡香 提醒我你在心灵的异乡

不再属于我,是否想到我 他对你好吗? 其实~我还好~。

But, don't talk to a dog at raining days.

So, don't talk to a dog at raining days.

我想它有自己的心痛 所以才湿淋淋的走在雨中

Hello, Baby dog. 是否你和我一样 She is gone.

A week before purchase. Missing sink bowl of 10 1/2" (27cm) I have just managed (25/5/11) to find an enamel one on Ebay and await its delivery.

This week has been really difficult, lots of things seem to be going wrong and I am just feeling miserable.

One of the main contributing factors to misery has been the fact that 'my man' seems to have gone AWOL.. whether he found out something about me, something about the project.. I do not know, all I know is that I need to speak to him to get his permission to use him in my show and just to appologise for being quite cruel to what I think is a genuinely nice man..

I'm sorry.

I'm putting this in the Lancaster Guardian too- only they want to identify me, and take pictures of me, which sort of might fuck up with the whole process..

I need him back!

May answer to Suzzie. Was fat but probably slimmed-down.

The saddest story ever told :'-(

When you miss me just look up to the night sky and remember, I'm like a star; sometimes you can't see me, but I'm always there.

i miss you nede, <3 i hope you enjoyed our time together :)

The missing piece to the historical puzzle of the Staunton Depot, although the road name doesn't match with area it's still gives that feel as if you are back in the steam area when railroading was ever so grand. 10/07/23

See anything different? Combat (1977) is missing its sticker on top of the cartridge. These can fall off, especially since the game is 40 years old.

Charley took care of his games, because (besides the sticker being off) they're in great condition.

I adore this book.

ArTicks Gallery is Amsterdam’s first gallery focused on underground contemporary art. Now there is a place in Amsterdam for exhibitions from the progressive world of urban art and street art.

On the face to it, this picture is pretty unremarkable. The woman at the front is cut off, back of a mans head not much going on and everyone is on their phone - except for the two on the left. They struck up a conversation on the train station platform after the young lady asked the man if he had the train line app to see which train would get her in to her stop quickest. He didn't have a smart phone but did have one thing - experience.

I had been out taking pictures all day in the freeing cold at a homes for people protest and listened, shivering, as they traded stories about their day, their plans for the weekend and their hopes and dreams for the future. They then boarded the train together and continued their conversation. I noticed the train was packed with people, in the assumed position; heads down, squinting into a tiny box of lights, earphones in - no doubt after a long day looking at a computer screen and oblivious to the world around them.

How many 'missed moments' will occur because we had to check our Facebook for our friends latest post, or our fave celebs latest tweets? Life is an endless series of moments and we risk missing them by being disconnected from the world around us. Technology has enabled us to be more connected and wider connected than ever before but it is disconnecting us at a closer, more intimate level more than ever.

Ironically I took my phone and camera out to capture this 'missed moment' as the train began to empty, maybe missing my own moment whilst I tweeted and took the picture, but I thought it was one I had to take. More often than not, I let pictures pass rather than take them because I don't feel every moment needs to captured, just experienced. We can look through our viewfinder too often and for too long and not actually see the world around us. Sometimes a chat is everything.
