Sometimes limitations are all in your mind. Missing Links visualizes 16 musicians who, despite missing fingers or hands, have overcome their disabilities and continue to make music.
This poster lists which bands the artists are members of (if any), what instruments they play, and how they lost their digits. Also included are two honorable mentions with paralyzed fingers.

I slide around on silver wings
I long for air as I strive for solid grounds
I feel my thoughts go everywhere
Hung up on walls
Tuning in and fading out
This space I’ve coloured with life and faith,
These smiles and tears I’ve gathered from joy and rage
I see you tried
To say goodbye
I just sighed
You denied
To save your pride
You just lied
I hear your voice calling
I see your faith falling
This space I’ve coloured with life and pain,
These tears and smiles I’ve gathered from joy and rain
A buddy of mine saw my new-car pictures and asked me to shoot some of his new car. (Like we didn’t see that coming.) He’s an early riser like me so he showed up early enough for the good part of sunrise. He didn’t realize how I like to work a subject but after about 20 times of turning various lights on and off he was getting a clue. I don’t know if he was bored or feeling guilty but he was trying to get me to quit, right when the light got great. “Look, you’re missing your sunrise.” I assured him I was not.

The E key came off my keyboard today... The white plastic clip under the key has broken and so I've ordered a new one.

The (so far fairly sparse!) missing information settings. You can just set for bliss to check and fill in year and genre, for now.

(I miss you miss you)
Hello there the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in backround of the morgue
The unsespecting victim of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
And we'll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never end
Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime
And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders
catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
And hear your voice of treason
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight
stop this pain tonight
Don't waste your time on me your already the voice inside my head(6x)
I miss you miss you(6x)
One of the park rangers was searching the lake for a missing gentleman. He asked what I was taking the pictures for, and I said he was the most beautiful thing I'd seen all day. I got a smile out of it.
I just sat him in a time out. Next thing I know there's crying & blood, and he's missing a tooth! What a time for Jules to pop down the shops :-)

Theme Celebrate the mundane.
Brisbane was over 30 today and there isn't anything much more mundane than an electric fan. This one is 'On'', as you can see by the buttons. The blades are literally "missing in action."

The final project for our Photographing People class was to duplicate a self portrait of a photographer in the 50's. His portrait of the fingers was taken with a 4X5 view camera so I guess it wasn't truely a self portrait since someone else actually tripped the shutter. Hardest things-1) figuring out how to do it (thanks to my honey for the idea) and 2) actually shooting it myself.
The meaning of the items on this special Missing Man Table.
The table is round -- to show our everlasting concern for our missing men.
The tablecloth is white -- symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to duty.
The single red rose, displayed in a vase, reminds us of the life of each of the missing, and their loved ones, and friends of these Americans who keep the faith, awaiting answers.
The vase is tied with a red ribbon, symbol of our continued determination to account for our missing.
The Solitary Candle -- represents "The upward reach of their unconquerable spirit".
A slice of lemon on the bread plate is to remind us of the bitter fate of those captured and missing in a foreign land.
A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears endured by those missing and their families who seek answers.
The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost from our country, founded as "One Nation Under God".
The chairs are empty -- they are missing.
The glass is inverted -- to symbolize their inability to share this evening's [morning's/day's] toast.

This is my Digo. He passed away about a week ago. He had cancer last year and since his surgery both his hind legs got worse. 2 weeks prior, he lost the will to even move. We made a heartbreaking decision.
We miss him, badly.

the confusion when crossing the street ..
the dirt of drunk ppl ..
the noise of construction workers ..
the pain of walking to work in high heels ..
going to the movies all alone ..
having food disorders ..
yeah .. am missing all of that !

Tsukimaru threw me into a panic by disappearing from May 5th through 11th. Here is the email I wrote on the night of the 10th.
This evening, J, the informant I had thought to be bogus and non-existent, called me again and said she had the cat right now in their apartment on the 4th avenue. At least this time she didn't sound like she was on the latest party drug, but I still expected little from her. And the result was a mixed bag. It was a pleasant surprise to see her and her friends actually existing with good intention, but the cat looked very, very different from Tsukimaru. When I thanked the group of girls and tried to leave, one of them asked if I wanted to adopt her. I felt sorry for the cat, but I could not think of bringing another cat home, especially one looking like Tsukimaru. A few hours later, a female student I knew called me and said she might have Tsukimaru at her 3rd avenue apartment. It was past 10 p.m. I flew my bike to her place, and just as I was afraid, I faced the same cat again. This time I touched the cat, and she smiled back bitterly about our odd relationship---or so I felt. The student and her roommate insisted on my taking her home, at least temporarily, and I had a harder time coming home alone. Speaking of adoption, the kind neighbors who took me to a nearby grassland to see a nearly perfect look-alike of Tsukimaru yesterday suggested me a similar plan during the drive home. I said no because I never wanted to have her owner (if existing) go through my experience since Friday. Yes, cats are mere animals, they are generally nice to touch, and in some ways exchangeable with each other, but this is something very different from borrowing shoes at a bowling lane, at least for me...
Things are already getting repetitive on the fourth day of my quest, and now I am developing a disturbing image of myself surrounded by dozen Tsukimaru-like cats in my basement and still printing flyers for the real one in tears.
