with mumbai getting more and more hot every passing day, i miss icy himalayas... this one is mt. Kanchenjunga in sikkim, india..
This time, this is not for joking.
When took the Inter Urban train (RER) to get to the airport. My train stopped 15mn between two stations. Later we rode really slowly to finally listen to the voice of our drive who asks us to leave the train at the next station because there is a flaw in our train. Time was running out!
Our train was supposed to be an express to Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Everyone, a bit stressed, left the train. We have to pick up the next one, 10mn later.
Meanwhile, I shot this photo of my coadventurers waiting on the quay looking another non-stop train passing over us. Some of them clearly missed their flight this evening.
I finally got into the next coming train. At the station, I ran like hell to the checkings. When I was in the right hall, I was able to look at the departures screen and was happy for the first time in my life to see that my own plane (to Budapest) was the only one with 30mn delayed!
The following of the story, you know it :)
Everything i make , every move i take , every single day , every time i pray i`ll be missing you

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of World War II's V-E Day, vintage WW II airplanes conducted a flyover of Washington, D.C. This is the Missing Man Formation, at the end of the flyover. The planes, from left to right: Curtis P-40 Warhawk, Vought F4U Corsair, Grumman TBM Avenger, and the North American P-51 Mustang.

Well this certainly seems like the past... And well for me it don't really is because I did shoot analog 35mm film but I never developed it my self.
For this theme I managed to buy a film roll anno 2013 which I could abuse for this photo.
So what is missing in this picture ;)

Photos from the air show commemorating 100th anniversary of March ARB in Riverside, CA. It was also the first time using my 500mm to capture some of the performers.

On a hilltop in "Hawaii" as I gaze across the bay
At the island of "Maui", standing in the day
Oh my lovely Margarita serving cool Hînano beer
I'll be a fool in paradise, I'm a fool out here.
"Aloha", can you stand the heat?
bouncing in bare feet
when you laugh at me
"Aloha", say I....I'm in ecstasy.
Oh, your name is Margarita, the salt upon your lips
The lemon and tequila, the flavor of your kiss
All the magic and the beauty, the humor of these isles
Captured like a goldfish, the sparkle of your smile.
Margarita, Margarita, please dance with me tonight
We would dance together, where stars shine so bright
Margarita, Margarita, I come from far away
Let's go take a swim down in Matawai Bay...
We go in the dark and we don't need a spear.

Gene & I have both been really sick for a while now. Last night we started feeling a bit better and today we are lots better. This stuff must be world-wide from what I'm hearing and it's awful. If you haven't caught it stay inside and hide. You don't want it! It's respiratory and I'd swear it's the flu without the fever and nausea.
My Florida friends... this illness kept us home. Thank goodness there's trip insurance or we'd really be sick.
Will be seeing Fred this evening and the Ukrainians tomorrow evening. I know you had a lovely time together, just so sorry I wasn't there as well. So... I think it wil be our turn to visit Odessa!
Seen three of these in Hay Hill and London Street today; one lady was reading it for a full ten minutes. I hope the unicorn gets reunited with her owner. Perhaps you can spread the word too.
