i found this turtle in my mint garden. I never thought it would be nice to be a turtle. Always on the ground, not able to smile and the rabbits always make fun of you!
This charming terrace of flintstone cottages is located in Banstead, Surrey, in south-east England. The properties were built in the mid-1860s to house agricultural workers, most of whom earned their living on the land at Mint Farm a few yards down the road.
As the name implies, this was a mint-growing district (which, incidentally, also produced lavender and camomile). Today, these well-preserved cottages are part of a conservation area.

Mint chocolate cupcake from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World. The book has wonderful photos, but I think this one is better than in the book, because in the book version the ganache was on top of the frosting, and I think it looks much better this way. The color is just a bit misleading - it makes me think of pistachios, not mint.
It's a mint chocolate cupcake topped with chocolate ganache and mint frosting. These (not the same batch, but a second one) were a real hit at our combined housewarming/Maija's book's publication party. Maija's very picky little sister devoured three.
