My mother, wife and I went for a drive to Minter Gardens, located near Vancouver, BC. An enjoyable time was had by all.
Some of the mint in the garden blossomed in the last few days attracting a wide variety of bees and butterflies. For 2012, the swatch of the garden that is being set aside as a bee and butterfly garden will include mint as well.
this is one of the holiday cookies i made this year at work. a double sugar roll creates the magical crackle. they actually taste similar to a thin mint and as one server noted "it is packed full of flavor!"
