There are quite a few of these around locally. Male Andrena mining bees can be notoriously difficult to identify but the small size (~9mm), the black facial hairs, the time of year and the fact that there are lots of female Andrena bicolor about, suggests that this one is a male of the species.

The mining industry is a potential threat to Sumatran orangutan habitat in a number of important areas, both directly by its own activities and indirectly by road access. It includes a major gold mine near the town of Batang and iron ore mining in the Alas valley, and planned development of coal mining in the hill forests inland of the Tripa swamps.

The coal mining risk assessment includes an assessment of the Coal Authority Mining Report. The fundamental purposes of the coal mining risk assessment are to identify the risks of coal mining at the development site. The Coal Authority is a legal consultant for any planning application within a High-Risk Zone. Also, a visit to the offices of the Coal Authority to assess mining plans, a review of modern and historical published geological maps, and a review of technical reports/memoirs. Snowbird has a nice little area for kids (or adults) to try their hand at finding precious gems in the stream water. I didn't try it, but the kids that were working under this water tower seem to enjoy it!
Still in pretty good shape for timber and its age.
William Weaver had worked in the firm of Isambard Kingdom Brunel before arriving in Australia at the age and 23, where he designed the first timber truss bridge in NSW with his Carcoar Bridge, built over the Belubula River July 1855 ā January 1856.

The Black Hills were part of the Great Sioux Reservation, so no local white government was in place. Prospectors followed U.S. tradition, setting up a system of mining districts. A party of miners determined the borders of their district and chose a recorder to register claims. They met as a body to create rules, hold court, and enforce the law. Mining claim book, French Creek, ca. 1877.
As time goes on, there are people who look past the enormous contributions that Bitcoin and other Altcoins have made for society.
Instead of looking at the nickle and dime aspect (which is in the hundreds of dollars for some coins), there is a growing focus of the centralized part of these coins...

This illustrates the progression of workers that populated my home town region. I think the ones that progressed the farthest were the mid 1800's farmers. They had the mechanical know how and sunk shafts beyond the scraping of the predecessors of a hundred years. They could be middle class communal farmers to become the top wealth possessors of the country. I like Mr. Sargent who was criticized for not selling land to be developed. He love the trees that abided there. Now that man is some respectable kind.
We entered the one shaft we saw that was safe. Carefully made it to the end. There were 2 rail cars inside, a bit of moisture, many test drill sites and a few tiny cave ins. It was an excellent adventure.
Questa ĆØ la dimostrazione pratica di come in Sardegna viene trattata la questione "accessi minerari" ad opera di certe organizzazioni conniventi. Davvero un applauso, complimenti! -.-

Shot done during a visit of the luxembourguish underground. Miners of the day were: Shanti, Arthur, Meriam, Staticpulse, Mornixuur and me.
Many many thanks to Shanti and Arthur for their kindness guiding us inside those mines.
I had my camera on hand for the July 4th parade, and for some reason decided not to shoot the engines, but when this high and wide stuff started showing up mid train, I had to shoot. This equipment looks to be mining machine parts was headed west at Worthington St. in Oconomowoc. July 2004.
