WELCOME TO EISDEN !The Limburg area has a rich mining history. In 2015, two residents of Eisden decided to brew beer and use the mining history as part of their concept. In translation from Dutch, Kompel means s also nice to have a drink with a few buddies.
They began by brewing a blonde beer Ondergronds (trans. underground) at the Anders Brewery.

Here's the whole group standing in front of the huge elevator that took us down into the depths of the mountain.
Photographed at the Battery Hill Mine Museum. Tennant Creek has a rich history as a gold mining centre. Here was found one of the richest gold bearing seams ever mined in the world. Very remotely located in central Australian desert country, life was harsh for the people who lived here.

May 13, 2026: New Mexico Museum of Mining in Grant, New Mexico. Constructed in 1990, this museum covers the Cold War era gold rush-style uranium mining craze. Since tours of real uranium mines might pose a radiation hazard, this museum features a simulated underground uranium mine in its basement.
