Mill Pond waterfall at the start of the Aberjona River, Winchester MA.
This waterfall was a surprise find after following the Aberjona River upstream from Upper Mystic Lake - Winchester MA.
The autumn colours along the river were sensational, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across this pond and waterfall in the town center of Winchester. Sandy's Island - a man made island - sits in the center of the pond and provides plenty of photo opportunities. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.
The mill is located in Cedar Point, Kansas.

I can't say "abandoned" here, but from my POV it looks like it is abandoned. If you are familiar of this place, please leave the comment below.
From my perspective, I am not 100% happy with this picture. I think it'd be best if I happen to be at this location in the morning, where the sunshine'd hit the side of the building, with no overexposure. I got there was like 2:30 where the sun was located south-southwest of this place, and it was overexposure from where I shot, so I have to change the set to avoid the overexposure in the background, caused this building looked darker. I felt so struggled with that. But I am glad I have the Lightroom to make it looked better ... but still ... I am not 100% happy with it.

Mill Ruins Park is a park in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, standing on the west side of Saint Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River and running from 3rd Ave. S. to about 9th Ave. S. The park interprets the history of flour milling in Minneapolis and shows the ruins of several flour mills that were abandoned.
The first round of archaeological surveys in the 1980s was intended to save the ruins from destruction as a result of road construction projects. Later, in the 1990s, the focus shifted from environmental impact assessment to exposing ruins for their interpretive value. As the ruins were made visible to the public, the goal was to create assets for education, tourism, and commercial development. The excavations for Mill Ruins Park began in 1998 and continued through 2001. The process also involved stabilizing the remains of the Washburn "A" Mill, which had burned in 1991. The Washburn "A" Mill became part of the Mill City Museum. (Wikipedia)
Hagood Mill is located on Hagood Branch, earlier known as Jennings Creek, a tributary of the Twelve Mile River in Pickens, South Carolina. Although mills had existed on the site as early as the 1790s, the current mill was built in 1845 by James Hagood and it remained in the Hagood family and continued to operate until 1966.
Unusually for me, I am torn between two versions of the same image. I thought I would try an experiment and see which won. The wonderful Saltaire UNESCO World Heritage Site

What's left of the gunpowder mill buildings in Roslin Glen geotopoi.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/roslin-
A mill was built there in 1859, but burned down in 1918, and was then replaced by another old mill from the village of Røved near Mejlby.

From a visit at Aröds kvarn - mill - Ljungskile - Sweden
There has been a mill at Aröd since 1650
Black water, smooth above the weir
Like starry velvet in the night,
Though ruffled once, would soon appear
The same as ever to the sight
