Whilst hanging out my washing on the line, a crab spider dropped on its thread from a hebe ' Midsummer Beauty ' as a towel brushed past. Once free of the towel, the spider climbed back up the silk thread and back into the hebe flower again. Luckily I had my handy compact in my pocket so I was able to click it quick before it hid amongst the beautiful mauve petals.
The day before Midsummer Eve I always drive to a meadow to find wild flowers to put on my parents grave. I could of course buy some flowers, but for me it´s important to do it this way.
Unfortunately there are not so much of flowers as there were just a couple of years ago.

Flowers, that is what I think of when somebody says Midsummer. In Sweden this is maybe the holiday that is most important during the year. Yes, more important than Christmas. And to pick flowers is one of the nicest traditions.
