This is what happened last night. This is the Northern Hemisphere’s first summer solstice full moon since 1967. A great reason to celebrate and have a toast or five, isn't it?
It has also been called Strawberry Moon as this article in the Independent suggests.
I took this picture some time ago when I was riding inline skates around Zurich Airport. There was a dovecote in an allotment. The pigeons did their flight exercises every day as a flock. I have no idea why you are allowed to fly a whole flock of pigeons in the approach path of an airport, but not a single small drone.
I like the picture very much and I think that I have succeeded in taking a master shot. But I'm under no illusions that it will generate a lot of faves. As my recently released AI-generated image shows, another genre is rewarded by the audience

My childhood scenery from beautiful, deep and clear water lake Vitträsk. This was taken 9pm and the sun was still high. I used 10 stop ND filter and this was 30sec exposure.
A shot from my last trip to London in June just to break up the flowers a bit!
I took this from the Millennium Bridge- if you've been on this bridge you will know it shakes, a lot. People walking, running, skateboarding or just breathing, will make you, your camera and tripod quite unsteady. So if this isn't quite as sharp as it could be, that is why. Nothing at all to do with the wine I'd had to pass the time WAITING (waiting....waiting....) for it to get dark (whose idea was it to do a nighttime shoot on the longest day of the year?!)

We had a real bad storm here in Kent last night with 2" hailstones and at sunrise this morning we had mist and fog, this is the marshes close to home which was completely flooded but topping that was a fabulous sky and those reflections!

Some days ago, we had a great night with few heat haze, clear sky, and plenty, plenty of stars.

Midsummer in Sweden means the longest days of the year with sunlight. The sun is setting at around 23.00 in my part of Sweden but the nights is still quite bright. It does not get darker then what you can see in the picture. This shot were taken at midnight. If you go north in Sweden you will even have midnight sun.

Today I had a lovely day celebrating the last day of Midsummer and my birthday. Good food with my beautiful family and a visit to the beautiful flower garden fulfilled the day.
Idag hade jag en underbar sista dag av midsommar och även min födelsedag. God mat med min family på Skybar och ett besök till den underbara slottsträdgården gjorde att min dag gill i uppfyllelse.
