Dolosses at Old Colwyn, Llanddulas, North Wales
These have been installed to reduce the Costal Erosion along Old Colwyn. It was the first time I've ever come across these around our Coastline.
Not my usual photography trip this time. It was my Partners birthdays and she was gifted some tickets to Harry Potter world. I'd Never been (or seen more than the first 2 1/2 films).
I had a new lens arrive this week, the DJI 15mm F1.7. A alternative version of the popular Panasonic Leica lens. I'd not shot anything like this with this camera so it was very much an experiment. I was surprised how well the small Micro Four Thirds sensor coped in low light.
First trip to Draycote Reservoir in about 25 years. We were promised Blue skies but as per usual it came out at mile 4.5 of the 5 mile loop.
These parakeets descended from escaped captive birds and are now making their way into Europe's cities where they find enough to eat and have little natural predators. Pushing my camera-lens combo to the max with max zoom, in-camera software zoom and a huge crop. Wouldn't send it to National Geographic, but for me it's good enough :)
