Taken on my first night out with the new OM System OM-5 II. The built in Image Stabilisation is truly fantastic and makes a lot of shots possible that would have needed a tripod lugged around previously.
This shot was taken around Milton Keynes City Centre of one of the Arriva Buses leaving the traffic lights.

Driving through new areas on my most recent trip to Wales I came across Llannerch-y-Mor Wharf. At first I just got a glimpse of what I later found to be the Duke of Lancaster. The ship has been sitting docked out of the water now for many years. Originally it was used as a 'Fun Boat' but has since been left and changed hands many times with no real plan for it's future.
Whilst there, there was also this little hut to the right of it. The weather was rather miserable on this trip but it did stop raining for a short while to allow me to use the plastic fantastic OM-System 40-150mm F4-5.6 Lens.
This photo was taken just after I had come back down from hiking one of the local Mountains in the area, Tryfan. Sadly on the summit I was in pure cloud. If I had of waited a few more hours, I may have got lucky as the afternoon down by the waterfalls was stunning.

Didn't have to go to AZ to find this one. It's always interesting to see what lurks in the alleys. Shot with an Industar-69 28mm/2.8 lens in LTM. Surprising optics!

The details in this little bird’s feathers had me completely mesmerized. Nature’s textures are unmatched — soft, subtle, and full of quiet strength. Capturing moments like this reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Shot with patience, love, and a little morning light.
Would you stop and stare at this little house sparrow too?

The recent good weather in England has meant a lot of 24/7 working for Farmers. In a period of a couple of days almost all the fields seem to have been Harvested before the forecast rain at the weekend.
One of the issues with planning photowalks is that you have to plan them in advance which often leaves the weather in the hands of the gods. On Tuesday evening we made the trip down to Pentire Head just outside Newquay to see the poppy fields that are famous on this particular stretch of coast. Unfortunately the weather was not too kind to us and we had a fairly dull and overcast evening… imagine my frustration when looking out the window this evening and seeing the most fabulous colours in the sky! You can’t win them all so part of photography is about making images when things do not go your way, so last night I had a play with the flash gun, something I don’t often do, as it allowed me to bring out the details in the nearly flowers (and if you’ll excuse the pun, make them pop) while keeping the shutter speed up and ISO down.
