I did a double-take when first encountering the Sun Cruise Resort, perched high upon a ridge the Jeongdongjin coast in South Korea. At 165 meters (541 feet) long, the building (not an actual ship) was designed to look like the Royal Caribbean's Sovereign Class cruise liners. Opened in 2002, it has 211 guest rooms, 6 restaurants, and a salt water pool. I took these photos in 2014; apparently a whole second building was added since then.
One of the Thousand Islands of the Saint Lawrence River between New York and Ontario. The largest of the islands sport over a hundred homes and the smallest are completely uninhabited, but my favorite are these single-residence islands. Boathouses and docks secure the vessels required to get to the mainland most of the year, but when the river freezes up during winter you can make the journey on foot.
This cute little astrometric station is located on the Zweibrücken campus of the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. Originally built in 2002, the exterior Artoo renovation and painting was done in 2018.
This set of photos were taken at Wake the Tiger in Bristol, England. This was my second visit, but first time with a camera. Later in 2026 they are opening a new project in London, so I look forward to visiting once it has opened.

Local ride to Banbury over the weekend, exploring new streets near the new expanded access to the Railway Station I came across a company called Magna. Upon a search on Google, I found the company make injection moulded parts for the Automotive industry. Judging from the stickers on these containers, these parts a for the new Mini. Which handily is built a short distance away in Oxford.

This photo was taken through the windshield of the "Elephant Express", a fun part of the journey from Victoria Falls to Imvelo Safari Lodges in Hwange national park. There are 4 species and 5 subspecies of giraffe, each with its own distinctive spot pattern. Giraffe populations are in more trouble than people realize; they have plummeted by 40% in the last 3 decades due to habitat loss, conflict, and poaching.
This stunning, (in)famous beach on New Zealand's Coromandel Peninsula is one of the North Island's most overcrowded. But when the tide comes in, tourist crossings through the natural sea arch are greatly reduced, so even at midday you can take a relatively unpopulated photo. This is also the location used in the Prince Caspian film as the magical entryway into Narnia via London's Strand tube station.
