Micro Flesh features five projects in which microbiology of the human body is explored in various ways: 37°C (2001/3), Micro cosm (2002/6), In-Time (2005/7), Unique (2006), Hair Lasje (2005/7).
The processual incubative installations presented as interfaces between art and science include living micro organisms, skin and hair cells. With biotechnological procedures of fragmentation and reconstruction of body, the artist manipulates living material, effecting a re-examination of the notion of living and altering the understanding of the human organism, which is undergoing profound change through tissue engineering and other microbiological procedures. Using scientific tools and methods in the sphere of art the actual social and political questions regarding biotech discourse are being discussed. The project presented at Ars Electronica is Unique, which involves the cultivation of micro cultures donated by observers.
Came across an old badgers sett and found this growing just inside the entrance... It had built it right under the roots of an old decaying tree.

Adding 3d text so I can render the signposts correctly. Note the upside down text in top left - Screen space +ve Y is not the same as world space +ve Y.

The micro fluff is the newest (and smallest!) member of the Pocket Fluff family!
This little one is about 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches wide.
He's made of a light pink faux fur.
His face was hand painted by me using artist quality acrylics and sealed with a matte varnish.
Pocket Fluffs are able to stand on their own. :)
The Pocket Fluff Monsters are made from my original design.
****Please Note:
The micro pocket fluffs are VERY small. I only recommend this size for adult collectors.****
Nikkor Micro 60mm AFD F/2.8
Nikon call their macro lenses Micro Nikkors. The Nikon AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D was introduced in 1993 and stayed in production until around 2008, when Nikon replaced it with the AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED (the version with a built-in Silent Wave Motor). This screw driven version still produces tack-sharp images up to 1:1 life-size magnification.

After destroying the nano kit that managed to last two shows (cobbled together), I've taken the decision to develop this - a slightly larger and more robust alternative.
Do I use it next weekend? What am I thinking?
