ma méthode : trouver une source de lumière polarisée, en l’occurrence un écran de PC allumé et réglé tout blanc; une page du logiciel "bloc note" en plein écran fait très bien l'affaire. un appareil photo sur trépied face à l'écran doté d'un filtre polarisant sur l'objectif. Bloquer entièrement la lumière de l'écran en réglant le filtre polarisé; c'est pour ça que l'on ne voit pas la lumière de l'écran sur les photos... introduire les objets qui du fait de leur transparence et leur contrainte de moulage, diffractent la lumière émise par l'écran du PC. Cette lumière n'étant plus polarisée, elle est donc captée par l'appareil photo.

1.1. Analyzing the photo
2.1. We clean up crumbs, stains, stains

(Note: the higher the resolution of the photo itself, the better the artificial intelligence will process it, so the scan should be large enough and weighty)
3.4. After processing, the eyes can be "pink-purple", so in Photoshop "color correction" remove the pink color

The exhibition is based around “The Jungle” - an EXTRACTEUR art format, created to collect data about prejudice and give them an evolutive artistic form. The format also includes academic studying of the collected data in order to understand the anatomy of prejudice. The information collected during the exhibition period is aesthetically forming part of a monumental sculptural artwork, but can at the same time be considered as valuable data for scientific and academic purposes. This doubleness between aesthetics and analytics is the core idea of all EXTRACTEUR formats, developed to analyze the socio-political context of the world we live in through artists lens. By the end of the 5-year long exhibition period, the collected data will consist of a huge number of detections of xenophobia-signs reported by 50.000 active participants.

L'équilibre délicat commence en remuant ou en retournant les grains plusieurs fois par heure jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait un pourcentage d'humidité uniforme à travers tous les grains, ce qui prendra habituellement 8-10 heures. The beans need to be dried at exactly the right pace, if the beans are dried too quickly the flavours from the mucilage won’t be absorbed by the green coffee beans. If the beans are dried too slowly there is a chance of over-fermentation where the beans might become mouldy. The delicate balance starts by stirring or moving the beans around several times an hour until there is an even moisture percentage through all the beans, which will usually take 8-10 hours. The following 6-8 days the beans are raked once a day while drying to even out the moisture absorbed over night.

To find the next center construct a radius of 45 degrees 2 units long and then draw a right angle that leads to the horizontal construction line which should be drawn lightly to be erased later. Then draw concentric circles with diameters 3 and 5 units measure. Researchers studying two ancient Egyptian mummies, dating back to some 3,500 years, have found that they were embalmed with unusual recipes whose components had anti-bacterial and anti-insecticidal properties.

Researchers investigated the 18th Dynasty mummies of the royal architect Kha and his wife Merit, a couple who were believed to have undergone a short and poor mummification despite their relative wealth at death.
Their internal organs had not been removed and placed in canopic jars, as generally occurs in classical royal 18th Dynasty artificial mummification.
But all internal organs – brain, thoracic and abdominal organs, eyeballs as well as ocular muscles and nerves – were in excellent state of preservation after some 3,500 years.
“Both individuals underwent a relatively high quality of mummification, fundamentally contradicting previous understanding,” researchers said in the journal PLOS ONE.
“Elucidated ‘recipes,' whose components had anti-bacterial and anti-insecticidal properties, were used to treat their bodies,” the researchers added.

The tomb of Kha and Merit was discovered by the Italian Egyptologist Ernesto Schiaparelli in 1906 on the cliffs surrounding the ancient village of Deir el Medina.
The researchers used new generation X-ray imaging and chemical microanalyses to better understand the type of mummification used to embalm the couple.
Besides the presence of the internal organs, X-rays showed that both mummies were richly decorated with jewellery, with Kha wearing funerary amulets.
“They were mummified using a natron salt solution, as were the royals in the 18th Dynasty, but unlike the wealthier royals, their internal organs were not removed,” Stephen Buckley, an archaeological chemist at the University of York in England, told ‘Discovery News'.
Kha's external wrappings showed the presence of animal fat/plant oil mixed with a small amount of balsam, a plant gum and a coniferous resin.

The balsam and the coniferous resin, possibly cedar resin, provided anti-bacterial and anti-insecticidal properties.
Merit's embalming ‘recipe' was notably different from Kha's. It consisted mainly of an unusual fish oil, mixed with a concoction made of balsam/aromatic plant extract, plant gum, conifer resin and beeswax.
Further chemical analysis of a linen fragment from Merit's red linen shroud showed a recipe in which the same highly unusual oil was mixed with a small amount of conifer resin, beeswax, and Pistacia resin.
The resin, and possibly the balsam, would have had to have been imported from the northeastern Mediterranean.
“Such findings don't support previous claims that the two were poorly mummified,” said Egyptologist Joann Fletcher, professor at the University of York.

Strip piecing method for squares on point. Cut strips of the print ½" larger than desired finished size. Cut background fabric strips ½" wider than print strips. Sew alternating print with background. Cut this unit in half and sew side by side adding an additional background strip to make it begin and end with the background fabric. Cut the sewn unit into strips across all seams ½" wider than finished square size. Lay strips down, staggering them like stairs. The lower right hand corner of the top row square should meet the upper left hand corner of the second row square. Stitch rows together. Cut carefully at a 45º angle in the background space between the rows of print. This produces rows of squares on point. Pretty neat.
