Today's photograph is titled "Self" mainly to highlight the scapegoats in life. We always create excuses or blame other people when we try to avoid something or when something goes terribly wrong. We never look in the mirror and blame ourselves. We become numb and ignorant to our responsibilities and our actions. We live in a world where we can hide behind a keyboard, make fun of other people, blame other people, and never once think we are the issue for our causes.
We live in a world where the value of self has depreciated. We no longer value someone for their morals, their views, their responsibilities, their actions but rather on how accepted they are in society, how "cool" they are. We seem to have become blind to our understanding of who we are as individuals. I know that I have stood in the mirror and have blamed other people or have had other people blame me. It's hard to accept the fact that you are flawed, that you dropped the ball somewhere but we never realize the fact that we as humans are flawed. The idea of becoming the best at what you do, a dominance of sorts has created a new norm within our society where we are never wrong. A new norm where we shift blame on to someone else to increase our own prosperities. What it comes down to is the realization that you may be the problem and you are the only one available to change it, I know I have begun to realize many of my flaws and are the midst of fixing them.

UK's Longest Under Road Tunnel
The Hindhead Tunnel is a dual carriage way bored highway tunnel which will complete the link between London and Portsmouth. The design has utilized the latest and most innovative approaches to tunnel support systems, particularly
with regard to shotcrete lining .
The tunnel is 1.83 km long comprising about 1.77 km of bored tunnel and approximately 100 metres of cut and cover at each end. The maximum depth
below ground is around 65 m. The tunnel will have two separate bores. Each bore will include a 7.3 m wide 2 lane carriage way with 1.2 m wide verges on each side with a headroom of 5.03 m.
Geological conditions, including the presence of thick sand layers led to the selection of Sprayed Concrete Lining (SCL), or New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) construction methods.
The primary lining for the main bores and cross passages was permanent fibre reinforced shotcrete and was designed to resist all ground loading. Fibre reinforcement was used for improving constructibility of the SCL linings by improving the initial behaviour of the shotcrete and preventing slumping or
tearing of the material as it was placed.
The initial shotcrete mix included 40 kg/m3 of steel fibres. Because of its cost
advantages, performance and availability, BarChip fibre at 6 kg/m3 was used for the SCL permanent lining.

Rather than following the standard categories, the EXTRACTEUR is based on an artistic way of combining the factual and the poetic interpretations of a subject matter. I consider EXTRACTEUR to be a unique way of extending our understanding of data-collection, classification, and analyses."

The exhibition is based around “The Jungle” - an EXTRACTEUR art format, created to collect data about prejudice and give them an evolutive artistic form. The format also includes academic studying of the collected data in order to understand the anatomy of prejudice. The information collected during the exhibition period is aesthetically forming part of a monumental sculptural artwork, but can at the same time be considered as valuable data for scientific and academic purposes. This doubleness between aesthetics and analytics is the core idea of all EXTRACTEUR formats, developed to analyze the socio-political context of the world we live in through artists lens. By the end of the 5-year long exhibition period, the collected data will consist of a huge number of detections of xenophobia-signs reported by 50.000 active participants.

One of the earlier sites done by SBIS. This site was done in the early the 2000s for an alternative medicine practitioner. The goal was to take the existing site and restructure organization of the site. Using some of the graphic objects that already existed, we were able to re-organized the layout of the site.

We had to get a new tv, which meant we had to get a new tv stand (the old one came with it's own custom stand). So last weekend we went to IKEA and got one both Bob and I agreed on. That's a miracle and a story unto itself. I'll save that for another time. So this weekend, Dave and Rowan and I put it together. Bob helped a little.
