Focus stacked... Metadata are shown on the right. The important thing on the latest focus stack samples that I have produced with the Fujifilm X-T3, is that one can use the Fuji "Focus Bkt" function in 'handheld'. it's of course better to do it on a tripod with no environmental vibration etc etc, but even in handheld, with some minor movement of the hands, as long as micro movements don't interfere with the actual capture (thus using adequate shutter speeds and/or OIS), Photoshop is gonna take care of the rest via frame alignment. The FS process is semi automatic and straightforward and requires only a minimum of human effort, so that Fuji FS becomes really efficient (of course not G9 efficient, but it renders better quality than G9 at all times) to the point that it can be used in many practical cases than the usual application areas till now of primarily product and macro photography, traditionally necessitating FS techniques. Nowadays you can shoot landscapes with FS and you won't even need that many frames to achieve sharpness that only fish-eye lenses were able to achieve, from here to infinity and beyond... without the artefacts of a fisheye lens, of course.

This photo was taken several years ago...not previously shown on Flickr.
For quite a few weeks this very large adult groundhog visited our back deck every afternoon. He (pretty sure) would enjoy peanuts, and the water we put out, and occasionally some lettuce. He quickly stopped being afraid. I could literally sit down next to him, within touching distance (though I never tried that.)
The proximity is demonstrated by the fact that this photo was taken with a 105mm macro lens, at arms length distance.
Really enjoyed his visits, but we absolutely don't give visiting animals names, because eventually they don't come around any more. That was true with this fellow. Here today, GONE tomorrow.
No metadata...not relevant for this type of photo.

Very bad distorsions on the bottom-left and bottom-right corners, but I like the cloudy sky.
Context
The Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial is home to the graves of 5,329 members of the United States military who died in World War II. It is one of fourteen cemeteries for American World War II dead on foreign soil, and is administered by the American Battle Monuments Commission. The ninety and a half acre cemetery and memorial is located in Neuville-en-Condroz, near the southeast edge of Neupré, Wallonia, Belgium. It is one of three American war cemeteries in Belgium, the other two being at Flanders Field and Henri-Chapelle.
Layout and memorial
The Ardennes American Cemetery is generally rectangular in shape. Its grave plots are arranged in the form of a Greek cross separated by two broad intersecting paths. At the east end of the traverse path is a bronze figure symbolizing American youth, designed by sculptor C. Paul Jennewein. The cemetery is surrounded on all sides by stands of trees.
An approach drive leads to the memorial, a rectangular structure bearing on its south facade a massive American eagle with three figures symbolizing Justice, Liberty, and Truth and thirteen stars representing the United States. This facade was designed by C. Paul Jennewein. The facade on the far (north) end, which overlooks the burial area, bears the insignia in mosaic of the major United States units which operated in northwest Europe in World War II. Along the outside of the memorial are the "Tablets of the Missing", granite slabs on which are inscribed the names of 462 American missing (15 Navy and 447 Army and Army Air Forces) who gave their lives in the service of their country, but whose remains were never recovered or identified. Within the memorial are a chapel, three large wall maps composed of inlaid marble, marble panels depicting combat and supply activities and other ornamental features.

Today I attended a beginners' wildlife photography course at Slimbridge, run by Iain Green ( www.wildwonder.co.uk ). It was excellent. I learned lots. I am no longer afeared of my camera and even understand what those numbers in the metadata mean. I took one photo I liked during the day. Now I'm home, I don't like this photo. It's blurry. Meh. So please squint when you look at it. Later, when I've recovered from a tiring day (because concentrating is hard work), I'll see if I can find another photo of the 300 I took, which I'll find acceptable. I doubt it. Hey ho.

Day 22 (spare #2)
Metadata says it was shot on day 23, but I think camera is on Australia time. We started at the louvre on the 22nd and ended up at the arc d triumph at the end. Culminating in a whopping 33,000+ steps. My legs were like jelly and we all nearly mutinied. I ended up having to take paracetamol in order to sleep.
