I was hoping to achieve iridescent effects with the lighting, but failed. Instead, I went in closer to highlight all the wear and tear on this marble. Managed to get the side light to hit slightly from behind to achieve the look. So to fulfil the Macro Monday brief, it is a 'damaged toy', or 'damaged glass'.
Sidelit with two spots, tripod mounted, remote shutter, 20mm extension tube, F5.6 with the standard 18-55mm Nikon lens. All other info should be in the metadata. No post processing, this is how it came out of the camera.

Green Herons are a challenge, but worth the chase. This one finally stopped moving around, and took time for a big stretch. The shot was made in quite dark conditions. Doesn't look that way, though. To see how it was done, see the metadata below.

In the late 1800s, the citizens of Melbourne wanted to put their city on the world map. Since the Crystal Palace Exhibition in London in 1851, world fairs had promoted new industrial products and showed the latest scientific and industrial achievements. Melbournians planned an international exhibition that would showcase their products and publicise the economic opportunities presented by Victoria's prosperity.
The Exhibition Building was opened in 1880 for the Melbourne International Exhibition. It attracted more than 1.3 million visitors over eight months. Another lovely from my wife's garden, this has dried longer. The result of a multi-image focus stack, this should reward viewing at maximum size. Using another image for the background, Photoshop got confused about metadata: this was exposed on 12/03/22 in a Nikon D850, 105mm micro nikkow, at ISO 64, f/8.0, at 1/15. I have no idea how the background was created.

American hornbeams hang onto their leaves a little later. I was pleasantly surprised to find these the other day. It was breezy enough that I raised the ISO and moved around through the trees shooting hand-held with the fisheye. It was a fun change after working on the tripod with panoramas and focus stacks — just kind of free-flowing. Theodore Tollefson
[EDIT: PS — the metadata says 75mm, but because the fully manual lens doesn't communicate with the camera, that's wrong. It's a 7Artisans 7.5mm f2.8 II.

Sunshine Station in Melbourne, Australia, which underwent a major redevelopment as part of the Regional Rail Link project. The distinctive yellow walls and modern architectural elements are characteristic of its contemporary design.
Sunshine Station is an important transport hub in Melbourne's western suburbs, serving as a junction between metropolitan trains and regional V/Line services to Geelong, Ballarat, and Bendigo. The station's redevelopment was completed around 2014-2015 and included improved accessibility features, new platforms, and better connections between regional and metropolitan services.
The image shows the station early morning, with illuminated light poles and a blue sky. The design features bold yellow/gold paneling along the walls, modern perforated metal fencing, and angular architectural elements that create a striking visual effect. There's a railway track in the foreground, of course, with some weeds and other vegetation growing between the tracks.
The station's modern design represents a significant upgrade from its previous incarnation, with the bright yellow colour scheme making it a distinctive landmark in the area. This architectural choice also helps make the station more visible and welcoming during both day and night hours.

Escas / Els Plans is located on top of La Massana city viewing Andorra's central mountain Pic de Casamanya, sunny all over the day. The La Massana region now is well connected to Andorra city (or to Spain) and Vall d'Orient (France) via 2 new tunnels. Nevertheless La Massana still is a calm refugi also for visitors, same with Ordino, both located at one-way Vall nord.
