These signs appear in the underground garage where I work over the top of the fire escape doors. The red sign warns you not to enter the building when the fire alarm is sounding, and yet to escape the garage and reach the fire exit, you must first enter the building behind doors guarded by a flashing strobe and 'do not enter'. The worrying thing is that we're not talking of funny signs by amateurs here, but something approved by trained fire safety officers.

My Message --

I just returned from sixteen days in Occupied Palestine. Over and over, I saw the painful oppression of the Palestinian people. I lived in Southern Africa in the late 1970's and witnessed the worst of that nation's apartheid -- what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians is as bad if not even worse. It is truly a form of ethnic cleansing. And I saw the ruins of house after house destroyed by the Israeli army using equipment made by an American company. I urge you to do the right thing -- vote for divestment.
