This is one of 6 art journaling pages I created. These pages will be turned into gift journals and will eventually have stitching and fabric on them with pages inside. I an sharing 2 pages a week, and then sharing the finished journals the 4th week (on Nov. 8th). Each page shares a quote from Dr. Henrietta Mears—one of the great Bible teachers. Today’s quote says:
Quote by Dr. Henrietta Mears: "God is the source of love; Christ is the proof of love."

The design was inspired by the latest MFT Sketch Challenge; the colors were inspired by the latest W&W Color Challenge, and I challenged myself to use some of my NBUS. I love the result. The main panel was stamped with distress ink and cut, mounted on a slightly larger panel of gold vellum and then mounted to the card base. The bear and his waffle are popped with foam tape. TFL!

This is an 8x8 layout I created using new Memory Box dies. In December, my daughters and I played for a "Young at Heart" Luncheon at our new church. We had various solos, duets, etc. I loved this photo of my daughter and I playing a duet together. I knew that the Memory Box Evergreen Bough 12x12 paper would be perfect for scrapping this special day. To see more details and lots of photos, please see my post here:

A2 notecard, Curious Metallic Mandarin card stock, ivory mulberry paper colored with Brilliance pigment inks
Mixed media memorybox, 17 x 17 x 15 cm, handmade mosaictiles in gold, copper and turqoise, millifiorie, smalti, vitrious glass.
I.m gonna put some legs under it if I can find some nice vintage stuff.
This started out as the watercolors and dies technique which, after I finished it, didn't like the color I had chosen for the birthday words. So I cut out my watercolor words, cut birthday out of black card stock and inlaid them into a white base. I used the Memory Box Happy Birthday Background die.
Small compass symbols on the flags are part of the Mariners logo punched from our past tickets. Inside: "Feel Better Soon".
We were to use Kraft card stock and Memory Box Dies if you own any. Please check out my blog for supplies. Lifeona4X5@blogspot.com
