You will always be
A special part of me
You will always be
A special memory
I'll always cherish wonderful moments
you have given me
You are in my heart
Wherever I may be
Wherever I may be
All the times we've shared
Will always be to me
Songs my heart would sing
With pleasing melody
I'll put together all of your letters
like a symphony
I'll remember you
Wherever I may be
I'll put together all of your letters
like a symphony
I'll remember you
Wherever I may be
I'll remember you
I'll remember you
I'll remember you
Wherever I may be
Wherever I may be
A special memory
FORT CARSON, Colo. – Fort Carson Soldiers celebrate the 237th birthday of America’s Army during the Army Birthday Ball at the Fort Carson Special Events Center, June 16, 2012. The Soldiers of 4th Infantry Division celebrated the Army’s 237th birthday with a traditional Army Ball in honor of the men and women in uniform who are serving in countries around the world to protect and defend freedom and the American way of life. Since its birth on June 14, 1775 –more than a year before the signing of the Declaration of Independence – the United States Army has fought in more than 183 campaigns, from the American Revolution to the current War on Terrorism.

This little dog is my wife's and she had this since she was a little girl so (I'm now whispering ... ) I consider it to be "quite" old! I tried to give it a little bit of a vintage look!!
I think I might have another little soft toy for later in the week!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.
The pictures on my wall are...hilarious. Haha. Scattered memories from days and nights with good people. So, I have a polaroid camera that no longer has film. Lol. It is sooooo hard to find film for a 600. :( Sadsies.

Memories are weird. You can't feel them physically, but you can definitely feel them emotionally. I've been thinking back a lot about this past year, and how I have grown and the people I've come in contact with.
Sometimes thinking about all the good times makes me really sad, but that is where I got my inspiration for this photo (that and my friend Anna who did something kind of similar to this www.flickr.com/photos/hopetotheend/5691869071/. Even though they are just memories of a good time, you will always have them. You can try and get rid of them, even forget the memory, but it is still a part of you. Memories and experiences of what we have done shape us to be who we are today. I'm glad I will always have my memories, even the bad ones. Without them, I wouldn't be right where I am today.

Lachen und Weinen
Lachen und Weinen
Freude und Trauer
sind, wie wir wissen,
zumeist nicht von Dauer.
Beim Lachen ist’s schade,
beim Weinen nicht,
denn wer zeigt der Welt gern
sein feuchtes Gesicht?
Und dennoch gehören Weinen und Lachen
eben zu jenen besonderen Sachen,
die aus uns Geschöpfen Menschen machen.

Series of selfies outside the place I called home for the first 21 years of my life.
This is where my parents brought me and my 2 brothers up. I have great memories of this place no matter what is said about the estate I enjoyed my childhood here. Its where I met a lot of good friends, a lot of bad ones too, have memories of playing football and games with the other kids on the estate too, it's where I learned from my mistakes, and sometimes where my parents had to tell me the mistakes I'd made :) It's where I had BBQ's with the family in the garden, and it's where I watched the nextdoor neighbours getting drunk and fighting with the police :)
So much went on outside of this house yet our family was as normal as they came. My parents provided us with a loving, safe and stable home which has definitely made me into the man I am today!
Worth a view on black.
I don't have my camera charger currently, and my camera is dead, so no new photos now.
Instead, I feel like spamming you all with old film photos of Europe from my visit last summer.
This was the amazing view from my hotel room in Paris, lol
This is one of the shoes I wore when I got married. It has been sitting with its mate in my shoe rack for 18 years, abandoned and unworn. What kind of life is that for a shoe? I decided today that I need to set the shoes free; because I have the marriage, I don't need the shoes to help me remember it.
They are slightly too tight. I think I may have bought them that way, because I wanted flats and white satin flats were extremely difficult to find. If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to get a white pair of Keds instead. No one sees the shoes on the wedding day, they are much more comfortable for dancing, and you can wear them again.
The Everett Naval Station was my husbands first and only duty station while in the Navy. Now he is out of the Navy and a different carrier sits in port but it brings back so many good and bad memories of dropping him off and picking him up from work-ups and deployments. I'm so glad he joined and that we had this life experience. But I am even more glad that he is out now!
