I pieced this Dr Evil 8 inch Mego style Dr Evil together from the Mego Meet of 2018 . Put out by Castaway Toys.
The guy ( David Lee ) who released these two , with Captain Action . They were sold out. But he had bins of misc. Mego bits. And I managed to get him completed, yay !
This 2018 Mego Mr. Spock has suffered a premature O-Ring failure after less than four years. The O-Ring from his left leg to his right arm snapped at the leg post. Mr. Spock was always stored in a container and in a controlled environment. I hope this is a one time issue and not a sign of future events.
Modified Munsters from Figures Toy Company. Herman: Repaint and rebodied with Famous Covers body, custom boots. Lily: repaint, reroot and custom dress. Eddie: Repaint and modified costume. Grandpa: repaint and modified costume. Marilyn: repaint, partial reroot and modified Waltons dress.
Here is one of my Birthday presents from my BFF Dean: - Coppertone Candi, finally released from her blister pack. I was thinking that she had to be in something Summer-y, given her deep, luscious Coppertone tan. (I was actually around back in 1981 when this doll was produced and I remember how desirable a tan was back then, way before the era of safer fake tans and such. Coppertone was one of the more popular suntan lotions back then, and Mego often favoured product tie-ins for their fashion dolls, as with their ‘Jordache’ Jeans doll, which was produced that same year and used the same head mold as this gal, but had bendable legs. You can see Dean’s and my YouTube video on her here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyUW3Rc_vFc&t=4s ) The beachwear she is wearing is from the Brooke Shields fashion doll range, released in 1982 by the Ljn toy company. I actually had this fashion back when I was a kid and still remember racing into the city to a big department store to buy the Brooke Shields doll and this fashion the first day they were sold, which I think was around Easter 1982. (I still remember that they had the big palettes on the toy store floor as she hadn’t been packed onto the shelves yet when I grabbed her! LOL I also remember there was lots of publicity about the launch in Australia. Alas, that childhood outfit is long gone, but I replaced it and others with an NRFP one a few years ago.) I love how it goes with her vibrant purple eyeshadow and deep blue eyes! That fabulous 50’s hat wouldn’t sit right on her head, so she is carrying it instead. Her hair still has that coconut-ish Coppertone lotion smell that gets stronger when you brush it!

Micronauts was a North American science fiction toy line manufactured and marketed by Mego from 1976 to 1980.
The core of the Micronaut toy line - designs, articulation and modeling - was based on and licensed from the Microman toy line created by Japanese-based toy company Takara in 1974.
The best feature of the Micronauts was the interchangeability, as parts from one figure could be attached to another, significantly increasing the playability of the toy line (in addition to stimulating the creativity of those that played with them).
In 1977 Mego launched the magno-powered figures line-up that get their name from their magnetic ball-and-socket joints in their legs, shoulders, and heads.
These joints give them 180 degree rotation, plus a very reliable method of keeping joints attached. Knee and elbow joints are traditional pin joints with one-degree of freedom. The feet are fixed, but the fists fire with a spring-loaded mechanism.
In the picture above my complete Magno Figures collection plus extra characters bought recently at flea markets.
From top left to top right:
- Baron Karza in a special livery released in Italy by GIG;
- Andromeda (Baron Karza's horse);
- Red Falcon;
- Force Commander;
- Oberon (Force Commander's horse);
- Green Baron (in mib condition);
- Pegasus (Green Baron's horse);
- King Atlas;
- Green Baron;
- Lantaurion (King Atlas's horse);
- Baron Karza (original version);
- Emperor;
- Megas (Emperor's horse).
Most of the characters in the pic belonged to to my brother, some of them I bought in recent years at flea markets.
Here she is! This is my custom Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman doll, with her head mold recast from the old Mego mould! I repainted her facial features, gave her new hair, a Jakks Body, and hand created her outfit with GREAT DETAIL! Only the best for Lynda :)
This was the second or third head sculpt Mego used. It's on the cheap blow mold fashion doll body Mego used for Candi and Laverne and Shirley.
This sculpt looks like somebody but I can't tell who. I'd say Linda Evans but this was made well before Dynasty hit. I thought it was Toni Tenille (with ears) but it is different.
From the Mego 2018 reboot. Frankenstein’s Monster fleeing a mob through a snow filled Bavarian Forest.
I made her this outfit in an hour. It's a simple repro of a mego Cher outfit "visions". It didn't come in purple as far as I know, but that's my favorite color. So I made it in purple!:)
Tarzan: RUN!!!
Spider-Man: Did you light the bag??
Dracula: Bleh! Bleh!!
Spider-Man: EEK!! Where did all those spiders come from???
Tarzan: Are you serious?? You're SPIDER-Man!!
Spider-Man: These are gross!
Dracula: Bleh! No one lights poo bags on Dracula's great entrance!!

Farrah Fawcett - TV Starz: 12in. Fashion Doll (Mego) 1977

Mego Jaws figure from James Bond film ""Moonraker." Jaws was only released in Europe so he is hard to find in the USA.
It is one of Mego's most bizarre designs cobbled together form their 12 inch Hulk torso and regular muscled body arms and legs. The character in the film had metal teeth, so Mego slapped a big magnet in their version.
I got this one loose and nude from Ebay and he was sent from Britain. I made this costume and the shirt was hard to size to fit over the huge Hulk torsos so the collar had to be large. It kind of works, though, as this would be a 1970s wide-collar shirt. He also suffers from the Mego "grey disease" which turns the head color from flesh to Zombie.
The leggy Kelly Bundy with an appropriately dazed expression. She joins the other Kelly here. She comes with a purse and a fun diploma, shown in the next shot.

Mego's Action Jackson is almost to the top of a sheer rock face. Action Jackson is on a mission deep in the Colorado Rockies.
This Chachi was the only damaged card that we bought, and we bought it because it was the only Chachi they had. He's missing his white sneakers and the fountain soda he can presumably drink with Joanie.

Micronauts by Mego. One of the City sets.
This is incomplete. Plan on keeping the contents. But this box is so big. It has received damage from storage.
It would be nice to have this as a back drop for my loose Micro collection. But doesn't seem realistic at this point.
The top part seen here is a very thin card board. So this has to be stored on top of whatever. Then it gets caked with dust ! It is caving in the center. Due to its own weight and age I guess. Rather then damage it any further. I am going to pass it on to someone who can display it properly . So I take a few pics before it is gone :)
