I had everything here but the Hulk in the cage and Bat Van.

I got the Hulk Copter at a garage sale with all the accessories missing.. Funny the Hulk figures couldn't even hold any of them. For the fist hands !

Mego type (from "Bif Bang Pow") 8 inch Cyberleader from Doctor Who. I got him loose with a broken hip joint. I re-strung him and added some bits to the costume for dramatic affect.

Digital photography and Photoshopped artwork by me, Argonaut X.

ABOUT THIS ACTION FIGURE:

From a bunch of spare parts I had laying around, I assembled and painted this toy using genuine Mego Micronauts odds and ends. The finished figure looks much better than I had originally imagined and it was a lot of fun to build.

I welcome your comments. Thanks for looking.

Argo-Knight: Gideon T-47 is a customized, painted action figure which I built with the body parts of 5 different Mego Micronauts action figures.

Funny to think that only the Shat still survives....

Clear Yellow Time Traveler

So stoked to score this gem. Anybody know if there are noticeable differences between this and the recent Mego re-release?

ABOUT THIS ACTION FIGURE:

I had a bunch of spare Mego Micronauts odds & ends available, so I constructed and painted "SPYDROX". This was a fun little figure to build. Came out better than I expected.

Battlestar Galactica Mego style action figure

my mom found this Suzanne Somers doll in her house storage. It was one of my nieces. Very "loved" doll. I happen to have had this Sylvie Vartan fashion out, so I thought she could be my 4th of July model.

Some crazy kooky custom figures I made. What if Mego had aquired the Star Wars license, and combined the Star Wars characters with their Micronauts line?

Micronauts-inspired Photoshopped artwork by me, "Argonaut X".

ABOUT THIS ACTION FIGURE:

Several months ago, I had a huge pile of extra Micronauts parts available, so I constructed this figure from a wide assortment of odds & ends. None of the pieces were cut, glued, altered or painted in any way. Magnus stands 10.5 inches tall and has at least 25 points of moveable articulation. Along with his weapon and shield, I used 85 genuine Mego Micronauts parts to put it together.

Dracula Mego style and Funko ReAction figures

Palisades Micronauts

In Greek mythology, Hippolyta, or Hippolyte, was a daughter of Ares and Otrera, queen of the Amazons, and a sister of Antiope and Melanippe. She wore her father Ares' zoster, the Greek word found in the Iliad and elsewhere meaning "war belt". Some English translations prefer "girdle."

Some say she got knocked up on a blind date, but she told everyone that she made her daughter Diana out of clay...Diana would one day become Wonder Woman.

These days Hippolyta spends her days on Paradise Island knitting and secretly drinking the sacramental wine.

She most likely was meant to be the Gorgon figure from the Hammer film " The Gorgon " But Mego couldn't get the rights or something. But had the figure in the works. So they released her as Medusa . Which doesn't matter to me. We all know she is the Gorgon from the Hammer film !

They even gave her a newly designed dress. In green as she wore in the film. Ironically Mego had the rights for the The Reptile movie character. Who also had a green dress. But they gave her the black Wicked Witch form the Wizard of Oz dress ! They made the green dress a boxed instead of carded variant. Which was meant for Wal-Mart. But I have never seen it there. Or anyone posting their finds of the boxed version !

But I did find the boxed version for sale, online, at some comic store ? Strange......

Introduced for one year, 1972. Yankee Bravo was a Wards Department Store exclusive. Yankee Bravo, Hombre and The "Baron" were based on Mego's Fighting Yank Series. Sold as a supplement to their GI Joe figures in the 1972 Christmas Catalog. Wards gave us some interesting "knockoffs" for that year.

I'm a sucker for broken and neglected toys. Here's my latest batch of rescues that I cobbled together from parts and pieces.

From the left, "Galactic Glider", a hybrid of parts from a Galactic Warrior and Space Glider. Restored Galactic Warrior, my latest graduate. "Please help me!" Galactic Warrior, he's a WIP. Next to him is "What did I do to deserve this?" He's a hybrid between a Micronaut Time Traveler and a Zee Toys Radon Metal Man. The poor fellow on the ground is a Time Traveler and Space Glider combo. He has some serious issues. More photos to follow with their progress.

After a stunning Valentine's Day betrayal for both, Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman find solace in each other.

Snow has put the Marigold Patch into a deep Winter slumber. Barbarian Steel mourns the loss of his Summertime joy, frolicking through the Marigolds. The Marigolds were his one escape from the pent up anger that he carries with him. His Dojo Master, Dr. Steel, introduced him to the mysterious power of the Marigolds. Now gone until Summer of next year.

He is inspired by the original 8 inch Mego figure.

He has designed and produced his own action figures .

improvements to the Mego style figure ?

He is a great Mego custom figure maker as well.

Doing all facets of figure work. Sculpting, casting, painting.

And even making the outfits !

It was cool that Mego let him do a head design for this Mummy.

evil or misunderstood?

One of Mego's best 12 inch figures. I got this loose recently and really only had to whiten the suit and add a couple pieces.

I added a new arm logo, belt computer and made the silver band. The original prototype was going to include that grey/silver arm band but the final product did not have it.

ABOUT THIS DISPLAY:

Back in September, 2004, I started designing and constructing this diorama, which took about 2 months to complete. I had the Micronauts signage custom-made for me at a print shop. The table tops are made of high-gloss black Plexiglas acrylic. I used yellow and black contact paper, as well as 1" thick foam board and 1/4" wide neon green Chartpak graphic art tape. I also used 1" wide neon-green gaffer's tape. The actual tables themselves are just regular folding tables, 3' x 6' and 3' x 8'.

All of the Mego Micronauts action figures, vehicles and play sets in this photo are from my personal collection.

I took this photo on Monday, 11/15/2004.

with a vintage Dr. McCoy in a modern Mego uniform. We still haven't gotten a modern release of McCoy. You can see how vintage Mego was very tan.

Crazy collection of Megos.
