A preview of a new series that I have high hopes for, being a bit of a perfectionist when I'm happy with the other prints I'll upload more.
I took some bread to the beach to feed the gulls with the kids ( used to do this all the time when i was little) there was only one lonely pigeon there when i tossed out the first crum and within about a minute there were HUNDREDS off gulls there and they got SO close, it was a trip. Did get a bit creeped when i ran out and they still kept hovering there for a bit :)

It was the first time I shot with a TLR, so I didn't wind the film fully after each shot. But the results are pretty cool though unintentional. You can see the other shots shot in Shanghai here!
Vertorama of three frames. I have never seen so extended fields of lupines here in Iceland as this year. For tens of kilometers in the south coast, and as far as the eye could see, there were purple fields of this pioneer plant. It was a strikingly beautiful sight in this otherwise deserted soil.
The mountain on the picture was an island once upon a time. Moreover, there was a fjord at its feet! It was filled up with deposits from glacial floods resulting from eruptions of volcano Katla. The shoreline moved therefore further out. Today Mount Hjörleifshöfði is surrounded by sand, about two kilometers inland from the sea. [As a joke, this kind of territorial expansion has been called "Icelandic Imperialism"]

I had waited for a buck during the first two weeks of deer season. There were a lot of doe in the back yard, but never a buck. I figured that with only one week left I better take a doe or risk having no fresh venison this year. We were heading out to do chores when 3 doe showed up in the back yard, so I took the smallest one, which turned out to be a medium sized doe. We still have some venison left from last year and this will ensure we have enough until next season.
