My Easter dinner: an $8 piece of ribeye, dipped in soy sauce, then rubbed with salt, fresh ground pepper, rosemary, and black tea, then sauteed to medium rare. It was scrumtrulescent.

I got the idea for the tea rub from Food Network. I had my doubts about the tea (especially with such a nice piece of beef), but it came out fantastic. I used a cheap black tea from a teabag. I wasn't afraid to ruin an $8 ribeye, but I couldn't bring myself to use my Darjeeling tea.

I post this almost entirely because I commented on my brother's photostream that his steak didn't look medium rare. He assures me that it was.

EDIT - This is actually closer to RARE than medium rare. Doh. But I'd still call this medium rare, on the rare side.

Week 11 yay! I finally got to go on a shoot today after 2 weeks of not being able to because of school work and other activities. Today's shoot went so well and this is one of my favorites. 👌
